Superhoops I can't say to much but Nodge has massive spurs connections, where he knows managers, staff and players to talk to 1st hand. He knows all the handlings and dealings of this club. He was also a big part of the set up during Adels time and he would of spoken to managers and coaches that have worked with him. I would take alot on board when he is talking about adel an ex spurs player.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Unless you are also best mates with Harry I would say so, sorry.

Fair enough. Just because someone has links to football clubs doesn't mean people can't have opinions on other players. Savage was walking around the pitch stood next to taarabt 'bloating' his body and arms. If people want to defend tw#s like savage then fine i think he is a first class pr1ck personally.

He does his job on the pitch, its about individual battles, and winning yours, and if enough of you win your battles your win the game, Savage won his, he's good at what he does, and as a manager thats exactly what you want.

Some people need to lighten up. Savage always makes me laugh. Doesn't take himself seriously, and loves the banter...Especially with opposition fans.

Being the away team, battling for survival, against high flying QPR. I think I know who will be happier.

I can't get my head around that mentality though. Derby fans are happy that savage did a job on taarabt and are happy with the draw. Every team should be set up to go out and win, I know not all managers adopt this but surely the game is about winning. Football is about entertainment and setting your sides up 'not to lose' is boring. I know it is part and parcel of the modern game but you don't see teams such as man utd go out with these tactics.

I'm going out in a minute so just to say.... I think taarabt is a fantastic player and has so much potential and ability and that is clear for all to see. Even when he has games like the one against derby I accept that at this stage of his career that is what he is all about. He will learn and will be a better player for it and when he goes on to bigger and better things I will be delighted for him and proud that I was there when he scored and assisted in so many special ways. He wants people to enjoy his style of play and sometimes tries too hard but even so I think the guy is amazing. Savage is a professional football player who I personally dislike and although he has a laugh with the fans etc I think he is and has been an animal on the pitch during his career.

Mate when you play for points and money the game changes, you come up against teams that are individually stronger and as we are at the moment top dog, strong at home with flair, you dont go there and take them on, when teams go to Arsenal do they open up and take them on ? Some do but most try and stop there supply or there real threats, thats football for cash mate!

I don't neccesarily like Savage but you cannot argue with his achievements in the game. Hes done incredibly well for a player of his ability level. He openly admits he was never the most talented player so he worked the hardest. I kept an eye on Savages warmup, and he had his own set warmup regime away from the squad then when they did a bit of piggy-in-the-middle, Savage was first to volunteer to be in the middle. Great work ethic for a player in the home straight of his career.

As for Taarabt, he was given chances by Spurs to make it. They spent years talking him up, trying to show him the way but he wouldn't/couldn't learn then burnt his bridges by saying he wished he'd joined Arsenal. He still hasn't matured to the level he will need in the Prem as shown by his duel with Savage. With Savage booked and on a tightrope, all it needed was for Taarabt to play sensibly and play around him but instead he set off on a vendetta to earn him a red card that was never going to happen.

As already said, Savage couldn't care less about Taarabt, he's just another player he's been asked to Mark and he did so admirably.

Once it was clear Savage had Taarabt in his pocket - we should have shifted to a 4-4-2, pushing Adel and Routledge out to the flanks and putting Smith up top alongside Heidar.

Savage and Clough then have a decision to make, do you still follow Taarabt around, confusing the hell out of your full back and leaving a hole in the centre of the park or do you try to compensate in the middle. It was far easier for us to tinker tactically than Derby whose whole game plan revolved around negating Taarabt. Thought we lacked a little bit of ingenuity last night and became predictable.

Still, 83 points, 8 clear - deserve the benefit of the doubt!

Well said. Warnocks tactics was a bit naive in this match!
