  • Savage, did anyone see?

Did anyone see savage as he came out for the second half, someone must have said something to him (i presume re adel) as he jestured towards a pocket (in what i can only assume as he meant that he had him in his pocket).

A total pratt of the highest order, and should have been sent off in the 1st half, had nothing to do after adel was subbed as obviously was the only job he had.

He's alright. He had a job to do and did it. At least he's having a laugh with the fans. Top pro.

No problem with Savage - entitled to a little bit of fun.

All credit to him that he can do what only a select few have done this season and keep Taarabt completely under control. Superb performance by Savage, as it was last year, and to keep doing it at 37 years old is some feat.

Never questioned that at all, he was asked to do a job and did it.
Still should have been sent off in the 1st half though.

Probably the last time we'll see Savage.

Very limited ability but ups his game against Taarabt, if he had been that good all season Derby would nearer the top and not the bottom. Reailty is Savage plays well against us, but thats about it.

Why is that a problem? It worked, didn't it? Savage is a top bloke, and when I watched the game back last night, I kept laughing at how he was just smiling at Taarabt when stood next to him. If Adel can't handle that side of the game, he'll struggle.

Reality is, you don't know that. You seehim twice a year, and make an assumption. Savage has been great for them, if you believe what their fans say. Many can say Derry and Mahon are limited, but they are vital to any team.

Not quite, top players get man marked and still make an impact on the game, so what has Adel learnt? Well I hope one of the lessons is about movement, it's easy for a 37 year old to mark you if you continue to stand still when you have not got the ball, he needs to take his fitness levels to the next stage, that would be one way of dealing with the man marking in future, constant movement.
                        Kept the faith!

But...Adel should have trotted from corner to corner to corner saying come on good boy to Savage as if he was a doggy out on walkies. That will come with experience.
