  • Nightmare Scenario

I'm sure Ipswich will beat Norwich on Thursday or we will do what we need to do this weekend to be promoted, but for what ever reason, if we are not, the league table could look like this, with two games to play.

    QPR: 83
    Cardiff: 81
    Norwich: 80

    QPR To Play
Watford (A) - (Bogey team who would love to ruin our party)
Leeds (H) - (Could be fighting for 6th place to get into the play off's)

    Cardiff To Play
Boro (H) - (Nothing to play for)
Burnley (A) - (Nothing to play for)

    Norwich To Play
Pompey (A) - (Nothing to play for)
Coventry (H) - (Nothing to play for)

Exactly what I was thinking last night and our run in now is very tough.

All the teams need the points and we're always crap at Watford.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

So you think Hull will beat us at home then?

I expect us to beat either Hull or Watford comfortably.
Leeds and cardiff will be tough.

But we'll beat leeds anyway, I don't think Warnock has any love lost.

I do not see us bottling it completely,
but even a small points deduction
on 6 May can turn it all sour the next day.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

You have us still on 83 points with 2 games to play.. therefore assuming we will lose to Cardiff and Hull.

We're doomed, doomed i tell you.

No England is Fair Play, they would never do that to a league champion.
If it was Thailand or Croatia, well..

Cardiff have to play 4 teams they've already failed to beat this season.

If Burnley beat Boro tonight they are two points off 6th so will have everything to play for when they play Cardiff. We've got everything to play for against them as so do Preston. Boro themselves are probably safe so they are the only team that Cardiff have to play who probably have nothing to play for. Even they if they lose tonight, lose to Hull and lose to Coventry (unlikely they'll lose all three but could happen) even their game will then take on more importance.

As for Norwich they have to win all four matches and hope we don't pick up three points in the last four games. We've lost 5 all season and although we've had spell when we've gone games without a win we've still managed to pick up points.

Did you not see the "I'm sure Ipswich will beat Norwich on Thursday and we will do what we need to do this weekend to be promoted," bit and the table is the nightmare scenario if we dont win for whatever reason.

I did. Heres my scenario. We win all 4 games and the negative posters disappear.

I really think i may have to avoid this board next season. We are going to lose and heaven forbid, draw a lot more games than we have this season.
