Just a little more concentration will be needed but pacier full backs although i wouldn't totally rule out Clint Hill either.
    You make a good point.

I personally think Clint Hill will have a storming season next year.

Too much focus is on defenders with pace and skill and not defensive capability in the PL. We have defenders who defend, its what they are paid to do. Hall would be the weak link in the PL, its a total myth that he can hold his own at that level. A few good games in the best defence in the league means nothing he is still a total liability on his day.

Our defence + one new centre half with pace to play alongside Gorkss is good enough for the PL, you'll see as well Warnock will not tinker too much next season.

Main difference between the divisions is the ability to read the game. Hall and Shittu are very bad at this. Gorks and Connolly are much better at reading the game.

In this league defenders get closed down much quicker than the Premiership. There is far less long ball in the top flight. The top sides all play good football. Connolly will look do well in the Premiership. Cool and composed on the ball. Excellent at reading the game and looks to play out from the back like all the central defenders at the top sides.

Hill and Orr are funny ones. It would be harsh not to give them a go in the Premiership but many wingers will have a field day against them.

I see what you mean but Connolly has to get the ball under controll before he can create the pass. But as soon as he has got his confidence back I´m sure he can hack it in the prem. He, DEFINETLY is a playing CB.
Regarding Hill- He can do everything. Ok, I admit the latter comment is wishful thinking but you never know with Hill.

My reply is based on what I seen on Telly.
