I still fear Anna Friel will get done for bunging the old man under the patio.

Fair play to her for staying in the limelight after doing that.

Amazing how an RIP thread can turn into a soap discussion.

Yes,i feel sorry for the innocent fans that died, but their own fans need to take a good look at theirselves.

              Heysel anyone?.

              Liverpool again.

Yes,let's feel sorry for a bunch of scoucers that don't give a fook for anyone else.

              Fook em.

And all these calls for Dalglish to be knighted because he went to a bunch of funerals is a fooking joke.
I'm glad someone said it, I have always felt the police have come under a lot of unfair criticism by Scouser's doing what they do best and playing the victim. My best mates dad was a young police constable in Yorkshire at the time, his opinion was the general consensus amongst the police was the Scouser's were out off control that day and actually caused the incident themselves.

A tragic loss of life which could have been avoided but hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it. I always find it remarkable the way the Heysel disaster is all but forgotten and Hillsborough is remembered. I always have difficulty in light of Heysel believing that Hillsborough would have happened had Liverpool not been playing that day. Scousers were out off control in Europe for a decade and got us banned least we forget. In the end it took a disaster like Hillsborough to bring football in this country out of the dark ages, its just tragic so many had to pay with their lives to achieve this.

                Well said mate.

I feel sorry for the innocent 96 that died, they were in no way to blame. But for scousers to blame the police for it is wrong. The police were in a no win situation.Let them get cushed outside by not opening the gates,or let them get crushed inside by opening the gates.

Liverpool were the worst behaved fans in Europe and got English teams banned.

I am a ex-hooligan myself,so am no angel, but I never did anything on the scale Liverpool did.

I agree about scousers in general in the 80s.....although I think Rangers had more tear ups with Everton than Liverpool.....but the book is worth a read.....especially as it nearly happened at same ground in the Spurs - Wolves semi in 81.....no scousers there that day , but same plod in charge
