NEIL Warnock has given his QPR players licence to celebrate promotion to the Premiership if results go their way over the next few days – despite the threat of a points deduction hanging over them.
Probably the clearest NW has been regarding the situation and is saying what I had heard myself from someone high up within the club (who shall remain nameless), when I bumped into them last week, whilst out in London.
Without actually saying 'we will not be getting a points deduction', he is clearly indicating this is in fact the case and is hence why I will be celebrating big time, IF we are promoted before the hearing !!!
Glad to read that., maybe Jeffro can get a banner done for him
He's not worried, I'm not worried..........
Admittedly we have some case to fight against the FA because they don't just do these things off the cuff. They must really think these are false documents (different of course from falsefying documents) to continue with the hearing.
Would be good if they could come to some arrangment before the hearing whereby all parties are happy, as this is not fair on the fans.
I suspect the fine will be heavier than the club fear and if found guilty it will be extremely difficult for that person responsible to keep his position.

I might do another one Pete
Wow so you think it might be monetarily worse and someone will go as a result??
Might be even less worried now -- Orient have initialised a MASSIVE legal battle against West Ham/council/FA about the Olympic Stadium -- last thing the FA want is that massive legal battle running side-by-side with what would be a huge and expensive appeals procedure launched by us against any points deduction.
Think the Olympic Stadium thing might act in our favour -- the FA might sign us off as quickly and painlessly as possible to free their lawyers up for that instead. They haven't got the funds to fight both battles.
A massive (and it would need to be massive) points deduction would probably cost us a couple of years in The Prem. = Approx £120m.
So a £2/3m(ish) fine is very suitable for both parties.
And if we're say, 5 points clear going into the last game... a cheeky 3 point deduction is hardly going to be met with much anger from QPR, given the circumstances.
Dave Jones is a hapless rat, but he might be right about that.
But... nobody knows for sure.
Warnock is right, we should celebrate, and make it clear that the fans (and media) would be raging, and cause a storm if they did anything that stopped us taking our place in the Prem. Including lengthy costly appeals, etc..
I really don't think they will.
