  • A few points about the Barnsley game

    1) The ref. In the second half, he was absolutely diabolical. There hasn't been a worse one (or set of linesmen) this season. In the first half, he was lenient on Taarabt for his petulant kick-out and he should have given Barnsley a pen when Hill handled the ball. Then again, he should have booked more than one of their players for persistent fouling, too!

    2) The fans were fantastic- although I'm still trying to work out why 20 of them got into a fight at half-time...with each other. You could not make it up. But apart from that, we raised the team in the second half - if Helguson had got the second we would have taken the roof off the away end!

    3) Taarabt. Great goal, should have been sent off, and was kicked throughout his stint on the pitch. Thanks, ref!

    4) Connolly- Was as immense in the second half as he was awful in the first. Probably doesn't help when you get slaughtered in the press by your manager.

    5) Helguson- Absolutely fantastic. Best player on the pitch, alongside Gorkss.

You forgot to mention the tannoy announcer. Hilarious reading out our team, ' aye, there's a few tongue twisters there' almost worth the entrance money alone.

Saw our own fans trying to glass each other with plastic bottles at half time so wrong but so funny at the same time.

Yep i saw them fighting. Apparently they had been at it earlier next door.

HH was fantastic - won everything and never stopped.

              well

well the in fighting has been going on for a long time now,and there isnt anything that can be done about it,next season when more opponents have hooligan firms it may cease, the trouble escalates because there are not enough
teams in our division who will arrange a meet for them, there maybe about 7 teams in this division that have thugs ,but in the prem everyone has got a firm ,even fulham,so im sure it will quiet down a bit,YES I AGRE IT IS REALLY NASTY THAT SUPOSED QPR FANS FIGHT AMONGST THEMSELVES BUT WE HAVE 4 DIFFERANT FIRMS ALL WITH THERE OWN COMMANDERS SO vic wont be able to control them ALSO AS WELL AS THE FIRMS,you have places like feltham, harrow, westbourne grove, hounslow ,acton, ladbroke grove, harrow road, south oxhey, shepards bush,.....ALL THESE AREAS HAVE GROUPS OF ABOUT 20 GEEZERS WHO CAN GET DRUNK AND KICK OFF.....so with police statistics making qpr one of the fifth most active groups of hooligans in london.......IT AINT GONNA CHANGE .......

well now days lager louts are just called scarfers or shirts these are also called auxillery troops or beer monsters, they are not considerd to be part of the tried and trusted men of arms, the blokes fighting at barnsley were beer monsters

Helguson got stronger as the game went on MOM in my view, my biggest gripe last night was Tommy Smith who had a stinker. Smith left us constantly exposed down the left in the first half and struggled to get the ball under control in the second though a seriously bobbly pitch did not help this.

Agree with you about this. Mind you, he took one or two serious kickings as well. But he seemed less workman like than normal. HH on the other hand -

Routledge was not far behind Smith either IMO.

                          but

but warnock loves to play players who do well together he loves adel wayne helger and tommy as a unit and if you look at games where we have played these four we have done very well,so that is a feauture about warnock he loves to stick with the same players

Thought Tommy Smith was on a hiding to nothing -- took several very heavy tackles which went unpunished by the ref (as did most of the stuff on AT too) and was clearly injured quite early on -- but with NW's reluctance to use Buzz (why have him on the bench, then?) got quieter and quieter with each subsequent chopping-down he sustained.
Ref contributed to that with his ineffectiveness -- also led to AT's frustration which clearly boiled over. The papers are saying that NW pulled AT off to limit damage in terms of him losing it -- personally I think he pulled him off before he was seriously injured.
Last thing we need is to lose him again at this stage of the season.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

                              ref was a disgrace
adel was being lumped diabolically and not protected...
i was hoping we'd score a second, seal the win, then send on shittu, miller and agy to kick em back!!

                              as for "fight"...all confusing
i saw 6-7 involved but some jumped in and hit 1 fella on floor
heard something happened in social club near ground, something about "northern qpr"??
as i say likely drink and confusing...went on for a while though.

qpr support was very good and some good banter , beach balls
                              almost party mood.
