Cant believe some people don't think he should have been sent off. It was a blatant red card and just one of the many decisions the useless man in black got wrong. Likewise HH's rash lunge when he ended up in the dugout would not have been tolerated by many refs.
He lost his cool after the initial foul when the player made a theatrical dive losing his right leg in mid air. Adel did not make contact with the player or swear at the ref. What part of the incident do u think warrants a red card?
What ever, it was a red card IMO and if you don't think it was that's fine and no, I would not have picked him to start but I'm glad he did.
Always welcome opinion; I just wondered what part of it you warrant as a blatant red card? If it was the initial challenge I don’t think there is any intent, just a bit late and badly timed.
It would be interesting to know what part of the challenge the card was for. I agree if it was awarded for the first tackle, not the temper tantrum.
The best referees in the prem would not allow a player to be targeted without punishment, so I’m hoping we will see less of this next year. As I mentioned in an earlier post, in my opinion his childish reactions are his only weakness.
