What was the talent like Ric? I am not picturing a very nice town centre?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Is that ****ing possible? Town centre looked like a nuclear bomb had hit.

Magic exactly how I would of pictured it, proper dive.

I guess you needed to get yourself in a right state to appreciate it and the so called women.

Do you know what mate I was anticipating the very same but if ever the saying 'don't judge a book by it's cover' was true it was this weekend.

Drove up there early Saturday, we had a spin round Scunthorpe that I was expecting to be a chav infested shiit pot but turned out it was actually a very nice place, just a few mins out of the town their was loads of lovely little pubs, very clean place & the people couldn't of been friendlier. Stayed at the Premier Inn where the service was top notch. Met a cabby who was from Askew Rd believe it or not who had been there since 1978 & said it was the best thing he'd ever done as it's such a decent place.

The town centre was small, but we plotted in a lovely looking bar with 9 plasma screens! for the Norwich Swans match & within about 3 hours was absolutely crawling with top notch fluff!! Again I was expecting an influx of waynetta slob types but we couldn't believe the talent on offer.

We left late when a bouncer said we couldn't wear 'football colours' which actually were Ralph Lauren rugby polo tops 2 of us were wearing. So fashion wise they may be a little in the past.

                    Surprisingly impressed

EDIT; For the record I was not drinking, I was on the lemonade & cranberry juices so saw it through sober eyes.

Interesting sounded like a good night. Premier Inn were asking 60 notes so I guess you got in early and got a decent price. I went to cardiff few weeks back and thats always a good night out and some decent talent to be fair, so somewhere to look forward to. Don't go ocieans as its ment to be shite. Club along that is full of women however but can't think of the name. Stayed at the travel lodge round the corner which was small but done th job.

£29.99 each & £6 I think it was for an all you can eat breakfast on Sunday morning which again was lovely, clean, not greasy & lashings of rashers
