  • Who is gonna miss the Championship?

In a weird way I'm gonna miss going to places like Scunthorpe and Doncaster. Good fans and good football towns. Heartbeat of football at places like this.

It's been such a roller coaster the last few years. Some of the teams we played like Mansfield, Rushden and Luton are not even in the league anymore! Some great memories over the last few years.

I have been to most of the Premiership grounds, but will find it weird seeing Rangers back at places like Anfield and White Hart Lane again.

Too many years have passed since I was last there having seen Rangers.

Even if we just go straight back down I will just enjoy next season.

But looking at the teams in the Prem I think we'll be able to hold our own against a fair number of teams. If we get the odd big result then that will make me happy!

    Rangers are back.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

I really hope the core fans gets looked after.

have to enjoy this season, but hear so many fans of other clubs saying they followed clubs through past times and cannot afford to go anymore.

good positive post hamm-more like you will be needed to lift some of our dreary fans tho. a lot of championship fans are what makes football on the british isles what it is (that includes the lower divisions). raw passion over mega money is where we first fell in love with the beautiful game. just remember that it might not be for-ever......u rsssss.

yeah, if I played in a team I'd want to be in the second division, too...
why try? why bother? why be the best that you can? if it was me,
I'd wish qpr were rotting in the 4th division, because that's where the real football's at, with the best fans and the best songs and and the best fish and chips. who needs a ****ing prawn sandwich? we're blue collar, working class, we should be rolling in the mud with Burton Albion and Aldershot, not running out at the Bridge or Old Trafford or Anfield.

Having been to away games at Donny, Scunny, Luton, Grimsby, Mansfield, Colchester & the like, I will certainly miss them.

Decent football fans at all of these [even Luton], who are not there for the glory but because they support their local team.

But nothing beats playing at the highest level, against the best.

Fair point......but this has always happened. I used to go 70's & 80's but when the mortgage & kids come along, I couldn't afford to go so regularly in the 90's. It's a stage of life thing for some....although I accept not all

When you see the amount of drink and other substances being consumed by some on a match day, I wonder why they moan about the ticket price.

Being an oversea fan, I found it easy to watch QPR at Wycombe, Port Vale, Sheffield Wenesday, Plymouth. I even travelled to Hight Wycombe without ticket and had to pretent to be a Wycombe fan and sat with the home fans silent only to discover a couple of QPR fans around. I wonder now whether I can buy tickets for away games next season while I am not a member/season ticket holder.
