To be on the safe side. On another thread some posters are suggesting for the last few games we play effectively a reserve side to give squad players a chance. Imagine we just blithely assume its all going to be fine and then miss out on promotion by say three points after a 10 or 12 point deduction - we would be absolutely gutted we hadn't really gone for it till the end.

I posted this earlier:
I don't know the ins and outs - but I spoke to someone who is on the board at Reading at the weekend. Basically every team in the championship (and some below) are waiting to see if we gained an "illegal competitive advantage" by playing Faulin - with a view to launching further legal action against us. I felt sick at first to be honest. However. He also said that such universal action would open a massive can of worms and would basically drown the FA, FL and all the teams in an awful, ongoing legal mess due to the precident set.
I asked him what his gut feeling was and he said that if we had done wrong in the main respect then we were likely to get "a good slap on the wrist" (read moderate fine) for "inaccurate" paperwork.... an "innocent" oversight if you like.
Like I said - I'm not ITK. Just relaying a conversation I had.....

In theory QPR could clinch 'promotion' by the time of the game against Derby on 18th April, but will they celebrate knowing that the outccome of the hearin won be known until there is only 1 game left to play.
I can't see the FA really being stupid enough to deduct enough points at that stage to wipe out any winning lead they have on the others bidding for promotion. It's not as if QPR are being charged with cheating or bribary offences.

Maybe our legal-staff can sort such a question out ? I mean we are dealing with sport issues like sportsmanship here as well. One should believe that the latter behaviour should work both ways!
One can actually say that the FA totally denies the fact that themselves now brings the sport into shame because(the timing of the verdict) is totally unacceptable .
I fear that we can be a victim of a lack of precedent concerning third party ownership - matters even when FA themselves dont know how to establish?
Only Garrow(RIP) could have saved us now!
:impatient:
There isn't going to be a points deduction applying to this season. The timing of the hearing tells you that.
What's the worse that can happen. Well they relegated Swindon. But that was for serious fraud which ended with the Chairman jailed for six months.
Stay cool and celebrate is what I am going to do.

this is not the bleeding stock market.

How about you just man up and enjoy probably one of the best season's you'll ever see for QPR, we won't roll so many teams over, home and away, so easily for a while!

Weren't we told this was sorted several weeks ago? Hmm.
In any case, now we actually have a date (and even when we didn't) I don't see any value in worrying about it. We've waited long enough ffs. Que sera and all that.
Pitch invasion on the 7th could be lively if the points have actually gone though.
