Sorry, but people who claim to 'know' it is only fine are talking nonsense. Only the FA decide and know what any punishment will be. The decision date of 6th May strongly suggests the FA want to make sure they punish us in the way they want to. This could be anything from a fine, an inconsequential points deduction, barring us from winning the trophy, barring us from automatic promotion, barring us from the playoffs or worst case possible scenerio relegation to League One. Hopefully it will only be a fine but the reality is the FA will decide when the case is heard.

When the story broke, i remember the F.A wanted the hearing to take place as soon as possible so all the teams would know who would be promoted and who would be in the play offs. The fact that it has been allowed to drag out to such a late date tells me that they have probably already made the decision to just give us a fine

The most important point here is that WE asked for extra time to answer the charges and have caused the process to be delayed.

[QUOTE=Sotonsuperhoop;568195]There are plenty of 'leaks' at the FA, so don't be so naive to think even the local press in London haven't got their sources. If a points deduction was on the cards it would not have been left to the last 2 days of the season, by which time champions, play-off places etc will all be sorted.[/
Im not naieve with regards to leaks, they happen all the time. This particular instance was to local papers playing the situation down which have turned out to be false. No charges have been dropped and we have a 4 day hearing with a QC. Dosnt sound promising imo...Just booked my Barnsley tickets in hope that's when we will seal our premiership return but now I'm worried it could be taken away from us

I posted this on another forum, but perhaps someone here would know the answer to this:
Hypothetically, what would happen if the bookies paid out on us getting promotion/going up as champions, once it is a mathematical certainty, which would almost certainly be before the hearing, if then, at the hearing, we were deducted points which cost us either the title or promotion or both?
What would happen to all the winnings which the bookies would have already paid out, if the outcome of those bets then changed?
Will the bookies refuse to pay out until all league games have been played?
Or would it just be written off by them as bad luck (unlikely!!)?Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########
