Currently this current team will not survive in the PL. Ultimately it will depend on what BE or new owners decides to do money wise. My guess is that we will see 7/8 incoming and outgoing. We won't be able to loan past Sep 1st so there are new rules. I would wager we will spend what's needed to survive comfortably, whether we do is another matter.

This team is comparable to WBA and they could go down or might stay up.
I wouldn't midn a season like Newcastle, but in all fairness they had kept hold of quite a few proven premiership players
We do need to improve the team and squad, not entirely but 3-4 additionsALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

this division is not as strong as in previous seasons. teams that normally go down from the premiership are in with a shout of a return(so called yo-yo clubs)-they did'nt this season because they were very poor teams not because this league is a good one. newcastle/west brom etc would have finished closer to us or above. having two teams coming up from the first and getting into the playoffs will tell you that the quality of this seasons npc is weaker than other years. we have been this years standout team and deservedly so and i'm in no way making a judgement on our own merits but to think this squad of players will survive without quite serious strenthening is foolish. on our day we can compete with a lot of teams up above but over a long season we would be in trouble. i trust neils judgement on players so it might not have to cost us the earth but we will need new blood in to go with our better players. having the amount of clean sheets with our back four this term is one thing but those same players would get exposed for what they are....championship level. our main assets next season will be the midfield players we have, our keeper and helg. to stay up we need investment in our squad.PRIDE OF LONDON.

TEN POINTS separate 7th-20th in the PL hardly unforgiving, based on a couple of posts on here the PL and NPC are both significantly weaker this season despite wage bills being at there highest for both leagues???
I'm looking at Blackpool they have won 9 games this season, they should be doing a Derby but they are holding their own....2 wins and they are out of it!
The gulf between the 2 leagues is nothing now, Top 6 (NPC) and Bottom 6-8 (PL) no difference to me. Just because you pay someone £50k a week doesn't make them a great footballer, it takes a lot more than to survive nowadays.
I find it remarkable that you can dismiss a defence which has achieved 23 clean sheets as not good enough. The way people talk about the PL you'd think it was not possible for teams like QPR to compete. Under Warnock we are prepared, the club have the infrastructure and experience in place.

As I said before in case you mised it - we need another RB, LB, CB, Winger, CM and CF. Some as cover but the one's in bold I think will probably need to be 1st players. All don't have to be world beaters but decent replacements if called upon. I am not dismissing a defence that has conceeded 23 goals. Walker was immense at RB and Orr isn't half his replacement. He will get destroyed in the PL. Hill will be another year older and we do not have any cover in his position either (Chimbonda is no better). We have also had a lot of very shoddy moments in central defence and you won't get away with half the mistakes we've made this term in the next tier. That's the difference as you go up divisions is the mistakes are punished greater. Kenny has also been immense and bailed us out on numerous occasions.
Wouldn't be a loss if Clarke, Rowlands, Miller, Chimp, Shittu, Rambo, German, Mahon, Hulse, Ephraim, Borrowdale, Rose, Parker, Tofas, Vaan Moen, Agyemang & Leigertwood all went. Routs is still questionable in my book as I'd prefer Sinclair from Swansea.Last edited by Dazzer1977; 05-04-2011, 04:50 PM.

I would suggest the reason the top 5 or 6 teams in the PL have lost more games is because lower teams are not sitting back and waiting to be slaughtered any more. Ollie's proof of that.
To put it another way, NW will spend, and he will spend to replace weaknesses.Last edited by Olly; 05-04-2011, 04:51 PM.

Its the squad which may require bigger improvements over the starting 11 in my view.

Consistency and stability have been key this season and would be in the Premiership. This squad will score goals and keep clean sheets against whichever teams come up and whichever teams stay up even if the top 6 beat us home and away.
Three or four additions to strengthen the squad is all that's needed and I'd look no further than the championship to bring those players in.

Totally deluded.
The team needs major investment to compete in the PL, and thankfully the people that matter know this.
Only 4 or 5 of the current team are anywhere near good enough. The only way we could keep the current team/squad, was if we had a tried and tested playing style like arsenal, we dont, so end of.
