  • whats adel's real value

all this talk in papers of 5 or 8 million is a joke, when players like connor wickham being banded about at 15 million you would have to say adel must be worth at least 20 million in todays market.

Adel's real value is that he turns us from workmanlike playoff contenders into probable promotion winners, and serves up great entertainment.

    Monetary value? Who cares?

Nobody is going to buy him for at least a year and by then he could have blossomed into a great player or be yesterday's man.

If wickham is priced at £15m, then I would say £50m for Taarabt. What a stupid world of prices.

If he has a good season in the prem and behaves self then i reckon you might get 20 million for him.

could be a player that in 2-3 years time is worth 50M plus so I say 8M with sell on fee 15-20%

If you think we'd get anything more than £5million than you need to re-think, hes only done it at championship level.

You have to factor length of current contract in too..... in the last few months of his contract he'll be worth 50p to us. Also, what divison he's in counts. Still baffles me why no prem clubs took a punt on Carroll last year... could have got him for £7mil easy. If we can keep Adel over the Summer and we're in the prem next season I reckon we could get £20mil in Winter transfer window (maybe more if he's doing the business). Over the summer I reckon we could get £12Mil if promoted and £8Mil if we don't go up.

£5m region, completely unproven and a known attitude problem knock the price down.

Carroll has done it in the premiership for newcastle. There was a bidding war going on for him aswell, liverpool were desperate so they paid £35million. If adel proves himself in the premiership then we can talk stupid numbers but until then we wont get a lot for him IMO

Adel Taarabt has recently been voted the Championship player of the season.
He stands head and shoulders above anyone else in this league, and if Connor Wickham is valued at more than £12million, then Tarbs has got to be worth at least £18million.
