Cardiff and Swansea have both 66 points from 39 matches, making an average of 1.69 points per match. If they continue with this average they will finish with 78 points.
Should they improve and get on average 2 points from every game they will both end at 80 points. If past performance is anything to go by I believe this is the most they can hope for. Leeds need an unlikely 2.29 points per match to get to 80.
In case Cardiff or Swansea get 2 points on average from each match we just need a win and a draw to finish above them, based on our superior goal difference.
One win and two or three draws from the last 8 matches is probably enough. If we win against Sheff U I think we are more or less promoted - I suppose no one could see us loose seven straight matches! A couple of draws from the last seven will be sufficient. Warnock will keep telling us otherwise, but I think 80 points will be enough - and 82 is surely enough!
If we want to be champions we need more, but in terms of promotion I think 80 points will make it - and 82 is almost water tight!
