    No.

Parkes (England international - didn't have concentration issues that Seaman had with us.)
Clement (England international - scorer of important goals)
    Gillard (England international)
Hollins (should have been capped - knitted it altogether - 76's Derry)
Webb (Monster - solid - scared the bejaysus out of any centre forward)
McLintock (Scottish international -when it meant something- double winner)
Thomas (English international - best winger we've ever had)
Francis (England captain - pre injury - a real "world" class player)
Masson (Scottish international - thoroughbred world class passer - put it on a pin)
Bowles (England international - maverick - would make world class defenders look like mugs)
Givens ( Ireland international and record goalscorer for years)

It doesn't get any better and I don't think it ever will. We've never had a single player to surpass any of them. The Ray Wilkins of 89-93 might, only might, get in instead of Hollins.

That side just still rolls of the tongue. Crying shame that they never touched silverware.

Anyone remember the name of the big lad, who I think passed away, used to always go on the train to northern away games - mid late 80's, wearing a snorkel parka (hood down)? Used to have a habit of getting his cash out of various pockets in the parka - sleeve esp? Remember him having a nose to nose row with the ticket inspector going up to Anfield onece.

Nodge you have confused me with two line-ups. Anyway, whilst I agree the team of 76 was by far the best we have had collectively, I was pointing out that individually, there are players who played before or after, who could be considered better. Which i think is what you did in your first post. I wasn't suggesting they replaced anyone in that actual team, just to use it as a starting point as it consisted of many of our better players.
