  • Loyalty points (again)

Where do we collect them for being a season ticket holder for 11 years (since I was 7) and watched us get done by sides such as vauxhall motors?

Ridiculous. Can't afford to travel to away games due to work and money issues so I dont have enough "loyalty points". Not been rewarded once for being a season ticket for over half my life then they bring loyalty points so you have to go to away games to be 'loyal'.

To be fair I dont think that any fan who cannot make games for whatever reason is not loyal but I and many others have made personal sacrifices to watch as many away games as possible over the last few years and so should be rewarded with having first dibs on hard to get tickets

I have wasted far too much money and days off following QPR to midweek away games when I could have quite simply sat at home and listened to the game on the radio but it was my choice and I dread to think how much cash and holiday time I have used in doing so

People who go home AND away are more loyal than you. They deserve a ticket more than you do. End of story.

To be fair mate if you can't afford to travel to any away games this season why could you suddenly afford to go to Cardiff and Watford?

Not being unsympathetic just seems a bit of a weak argument to me

Im not saying they're not. They are loyal. But surely there should be am incentive by the club to reward those who were there when we were sh*it. Not since we got taken over by billionaires.

So if someone has been a season ticket holder for 35 years (as is the man sitting next to me) but has a family of 6 to cater for at home and the man the other side has been a season ticket holder for 1 year and goes to away games he is more loyal?

There's rewards for those who go home and away when we start winning an then nothing for those there when we were ****.

Old hoop. I live in Watford. Hence why I want to go.

Not quite sure what your point is as I have also been going home and away for over 30 years so was of course also there during all the **** years

Yes, they may have been there for 35 years but they couldn't come for the season it mattered, harsh but fair.
I was on tour for the first half of this season so have missed half the season and had to get a half season ticket and, because of work I haven't been to as many games as I'd like to, therefore don't have the loyalty points. Seasons before this I hardly missed games when we were pony, but I accept the fact that I haven't been to as many games this year and as a result, I risk not getting a ticket for these games. Cardiff's the only one I'm worried about, but I've not once not got a ticket for a game when I've wanted one.

If you live in Watford, there's an easy way around. Couple of years back when we were sold out, I went into the shop in the town centre where they're clueless about tickets but still sell them, since then I've been on their database which I'll be taking the **** with this season.
I know lads from Watford who've brought tickets for other Watford games this season just to get on their database for our game there knowing it could mean something.
Using your noggin helps in these situations. Surely you have mates that are Watford if that's where your from.

Exactly, there should be some sort of reward scheme for those who paid the money and we should be noticed for it. Rather than the attention going to the so called "glory hunters". Which was the point of the loyalty points.

Isleworth, I'm not on about you. You are clearly a loyal fan and always have been and deserve it. I'm just putting a scenario of someone who I know has been there seen it but can't travel for family reasons and then can't get a ticket then someone who has been here for a season gets loyalty due to 1 season supporting the club home and away...

WD postcode then. Register with Watford, buy a ticket in with the home fans. Keep out of trouble and enjoy the match. That's what I'm doing.

                    And relax.

I don't think I should be rewarded, the season it mattered I couldn't go, the people that did go should be the ones rewarded.
I don't think you get any 'glory hunters' at away games. The faces I see away this year have been the same faces I've seen for years.
Everyone says there should be a better system. Exactly what?
The system in place is the one that works. They can't get people in proving they went to games at certain points over the last 40 years can they.
You get the extra 20 points for renewing since the scheme came in, therefore rewarding people going each season.

You really wont need to keep your mouth shut in the Watford end!
They won't say boo to a goose. You'll end up with rangers sitting together anyway, that's what's happened before.

Yep, seems a pretty fair system to me. Some people will always believe themselves to be more deserving than others unfortunately, with justification or none.

Systems been in place for the last 2 seasons at least to my recollection!!
