He is attacking midfielder, similar to how NW has used Taarabt this season and the reason why he is not playing at spurs is Van der Vaart. So if we sign him you will all be happy for Taarabt to be dropped or he will be happy to sit on the bench.

IMO, That's why we won't sign him.

Yeah and if he could sneak Kyle Walker out in his bag then it would make it even better!

You could never fit Taarabt and Kranjcar in the same XI. We struggle enough to get Buzsacky and Taarabt playing together.

Quality player though. If Taarabt is sold (which I don't think is entirely out of the equation), Kranjcar would be a perfect replacement. Although wages of £50k a week would probably be unsustainable.

Kranjar replaces Tommy Smith, different to Adel.
                  Better version.

With Neil and Harry being such good mates and their past dealings etc, i'd say we would be favourites.

Gerrard is crap when played on the left, this would be the same. We won't sign him as we don't need him and can't afford him.

Gerrard and Krancjar are totally different players.

Gerrard is world class, dynamic and can play anywhere, even right back in CL final.
Kranjar is a skilful runner with the ball with awesome dead ball.
If you can fit Adel, rout and smith into the same team, then NK can play ahead of rout or smith.

I am not suggesting they are the same players, I am saying that they like playing in their favoured positions and not where the are shoehorned into to play and what is the point in having a dead ball specialist ?

Would like this player very much. Think with good players you can get them to adapt. Tabs can play left or the centre. Am sure I've seen Krancjar on the wing and in the middle too, no? The bigger obstacle is the one Nodge identifies - or to be precise the 50,000 big obstacles.

Kranjcar can play on the left just like Smith does. He wont beat anyone due to his pace but he has great touch and skill. I would love to see him sign for us but I think its more realistic he goes to a team in Germany

Agreed, a good player, especially attacking can play anywhere acorss the front line.
