I last saw Chris Edwards in the Bush Ranger perhaps 6 years ago. most of those names ring a bell and I knew marvin his sister Pat was in my year dave b and his brother pete and andy benn very well. we must have been in the back of that transit to buckmore together on occasions, if you were in Chris edwards class you may have known my younger sister Natasha

No my Mum and Dad moved to Northwood Hills when I was about 2, so I went to Northwood School aka Potter Street ! My Nan stayed at Thames Avenue though, so spent many many days back there when growing up and I then worked in Aintree Road for about 17 years at Garden House Press Printers.

              • Ted love your poems but please relate to it as FOOTBALL NOT SOCCER, sorry just have a pet hate for that ####ie term.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                  • ya ya

soccer or football its so very strange
i loved it so very much always hitting thirty yarders when i was out of range
every manager i ever played for would shout the same thing, pass pass pass
but i never did i was so in love with myself, i thought i was class
the trouble was when i got the ball ,i started throwing body swerves
but a horrific shin injury shatterd my nerves

that was it lads the end of my carreer
26 years of age and all my dreams were to disapear
but i still have my dreams to keep me going
and somewhere in my subconcous mind im knowing
that just one of those thirty yarders did one day go in
every one was amazed and on my face was a big grin

                    • peter g! chris edwards still gets down rangers now and then, marvin used to come to games with me up untill last year before he moved to hayling island (was handy for pompey) still comes down from time to time. andy benn built his own house down in eastbourne his older brother gary is still a regular down loftus rd. about 8 of us season ticket holders from perivale/hanwell all sit together. my strongest memory of buckmore park was driving back through london and peter bryant spewing all over me in the back of the transit.
