My first 'away day' outside of London was Southampton away, sometime in the late 70's we lost 5-0 and was stuck in the old shoe box stand below pitch level! Went to plenty of away London derbies before that trip where we seemed always to do well, so was well up for the trip to the souff coast. F Shi*e day. Funny how I now live there!!

Milk Cup Final '86 was low too as was the 4-0 defeat at Belgrade, really thought we would win the UEFA cup that year!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Huddersfield away when we got relegated.....totally depressed me and I remember the gloating barstewards getting a slap on the way out from the pissed off R's didn't even cheer me up.....got back to my car and sat there totally stunned and unbelieving what had happened to my team.

Anyway, God bless Neil Warnock the best thing to come out of Yorkshire!

The day we sold Phil Parkes to West Ham was the day I knew we would be relegated for the first time in my supporting of the club and I cried.

The day we sold Clive Allen to Arsenal was a really tough time for me at school and I took some serious ribbing - and again when he joined Palace a few weeks later.

As for a game? Was on my way to watch us play Wimbledon and someone threw themselves under the train in front of us which caused major disruption and my train had to turn back so I never went.

Your thinking of the wrong person mate.

Remember 4 of us getting filled in by about 20 of them after that game, stayed down there and was later on in the night. I got a nice few lashings from a belt buckle.

when Rodney left, at school just a kid, but 6 months later one certain Stan Bowles arrives, being relegated in the late 70's after the break up of that fabulous side was painful too
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

A few years ago me and a M8 drove up to Highfield road.
Walking to the ground we met some Scandinavian Rs who had spare tickets for the stand. My M8 told him we'd rather stand on the terraces. So we paid to get in, stood on the open terrace in the pissing rain, got beat 3-1 and I got a parking ticket on the car.

                            Happy days

I didn't stick around long enough to see that. I was out of the stadium with minutes of the final whistle.

How could they let us all down like that. QPR beat Forest, Chelsea and a two legged s/f against Liverpool (when they were almost impossible to beat over two legs) yet lost to such a poor team as Oxford.

But for me, the worst was losing 1-0 at Highfield Road in 96. I just knew that QPR's 13 year top flight run was soon to be over and it would take years to get back up.

Please QPR, don't throw it all away now.
