Away fans are located in one corner of the stadium, between the Ninian & Grange stands. Up to 1,800 fans can be accommodated in this area. The Club operate automatic turnstiles, where you have to put your ticket (which has a bar code on it) into a slot reader, which then allows the turnstiles to admit you.
As you would expect from a new stadium the view of the playing action and facilities are good. The acoustics are also good, with the stadium having a loud p.a. system. The concourses are spacious, have televisions to keep you entertained and serve the usual fayre of food as well as alcohol. Food on offer includes various Pies (including the Chicken Balti pie 2.90), Cheeseburgers (3.30), Hot Dogs (3.10) and Chips (2.50).

The move to the new stadium, marks a new era for Cardiff City and there was no doubt on my visit to the ground, that things seem more relaxed than before at Ninian Park. Still it remains to be seen whether this will continue, so I would still advise to be cautious around the stadium and the city centre and to keep colours covered.

Inside the stadium away fans are kept separate from home fans, by an area of 'no mans land' to each side. Whilst outside there is a fenced in compound, which is also used to accommodate the away coaches, but again keeps fans separated after the game has finished which should avoid most problems.

1800 This is the allocation they have been giving to away fans lately dont beleive for one min they will let us have more than that ,as this will be their biggest game of the season. and will be able to sell out to their own fans, Also League regs say you must give 10% to away support if the capacity is 25.000 they should be dishing out 2500 tickets or they are breaking league rules surely.

Cardiff average 23,000, If Cardiff win the next few games then expect a sell-out. We are normally pretty close to a sell-out most weeks anyhow.
Colours will not be an issue around the ground. Colours would only be an issue in places like Grangetown and Canton.
Tip for you - if you walk back outside ground onto the road where ninian park was, hot-dogs and burgers and only £1.50. In the ground they are silly prices, £3.50 ish.

        Cheers Gareth.

Do you still think you can grab one of the auto places or do you think you'll end up having to settle a play off place ?

I think we will still get automatic. Looking at run-in, we should be ok.. Our away end holds 2200, im guessing police advice have dropped it to 1800 for segregation. You will see a family stand to your left and a normal stand to your right. 1st 5 rows of that stand will be standing and singing and trying to be intimidating. Ill be standing over our singing stand, which is behind the goal on the total opposite side of the ground to you. Cardiff are trying to turn it into a Kop like stand next season.

The best thing about Cardiff away is actually the stewarding, who are sensible and nice, and let you smoke outside at half-time.

Gareth I like you and u seem a decent bloke, but do you really believe you will get that 2nd spot? Your form has been shocking and since Ramsey has left the side are looking clueless.

I think your chances are about as good as you getting to the fa cup final in may.

Again don't mean to be harsh but I really think Norwich will take 2nd spot.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Do they serve beer in the ground?

Something's telling me you could in that corner bit at Ninnian.

Beer is £3,50 a pint and not even that nice a pint. If you are to get a pint id advise to get 1 from the Fosters man that goes around with a big tub of Fosters on his back.
If your sensible tho, you could get a tidy pint for £1.85 around Cardiff City Centre.
WeareQPR12, If you look at the stats on our last 3 games we have played very well. Just been very unfortunate with some poor refs. I believe our form will click at the right time.
Bothroyd and Quinn back from injury. Macnaughton moving into centerhalf to cover the injured Hudson with new signing J Lloyd Samuel freshening things up. Chopra is a big miss but means Burke comes back into the side. He scored 2 on his 1st start in ages last week with Bellamy playing up front which he seemed to enjoy
Im looking forward to our game. Be good to see your fans in promotion party mode. Hopefully be the 2 teams celebrating going up at the end of the year. Remember not to bring your fireworks like a few of your fans did at LR

Am I alone in thinking Cardiff will get automatic promotion?

"On Paper" - far easier run in than Norwich (aside the game against us but 'hopefully' we may be done and dusted by then) and a far stronger squad.

Yes mate u r on your own.

I think cardiff have a chance, far more than swansea do but there defence is toffee.

They concede far to many goals and I think losing Ramsey was a huge loss for them.

Norwich look a tighter unit and have a far better manager, so Cardiff will take 3rd and bottle it in the playoffs against Reading, that is my prediction nodge.

Cardiff *should* make it, admitted dressingroom discontent, Chopra injured, Ramsey gone, defence leakier than the Titanic, Bothroyd clearly not 100% and back in his usual 1 in 6 form all suggest they won't..

Quite fancy Swansea to take 2nd place, they are very much like us with their propensity to beat good sides and make crap sides look like world beaters..

In reality though, I don't care who comes up with us so long as it isn't those ******s at the City Ground.

WHY WON'T THEY F@CKING BACK BILLY?!?!?!?!

What I meant by it was if they sell beer in the away end?

Go to the odd ground where they don't, like Sheffield Wednesday and I could imagine there's a possibility they don't at your place now.

qpr should dem and the 10%...a new stadium should have all the criteria and should've been monitored by the fa etc...
why 1800? capacity is 25000 so
2,500 should be available..qpr should demand it and make them provide the extra 700 seats...segregation was their issue under construction and if they didn't meet league rules then make em do it!!! even if it means they lose 1000 seats!

inside the ground, you are kept in a huge cage area, way bigger than millwall
and cardiff fans are so far away you need binoculars!
