interesting that a lot of people have gone of England because we haven't played well.

If we appoint Harry and start playing well lots of people will be interested again.

quite expensive to watch a national team play, among club commitments in finance.
petrol going up, even the pasties in tesco have gone up a few pence, would rather watch QPR play well with Adel Taarabt than a national side who couldn't pass the ketchup at Harvester. Just the way it is for most fans aswell, QPR over England most of the time (perhaps all of the time), deffinatley all of the time at this going rate.
        QPR on the up
        England on the slide (still)

Seems fashionable to have a dislike for England for quite alot of people at the moment.

As with rangers, I'll support the national side through whatever, whether we're turning out dire performances, which I've stuck through with rangers or winning things.

            Agree with you Dan.

Never realised there had to be a choice between club and country support.

WCG "Filling the stadium and those tuning in are 2 different things."

Absolutely right, but I bet millions (including me) will watch on telly too. That or Eastenders / Corrie ? No choice in my view.

Qprjames "Ghana have got 30k there"

Really ? Wow, wasn't aware of that. And not what I'd heard from friends who are going, guess we'll see tonight.

C-dizzle - QPR over England ALL DAY LONG, everytime.
Which is why I spend my hard earned watching them live (s/t, petrol, etc) and considerably less on watching England from an armchair or pub.
I trawl QPR websites and messageboards daily, but never do so for any England ones.

Doesn't mean I follow England any less than I used to.
Although I will accept foreign managers, over paid players with over inflated egos do annoy and frustrate me and then there's our awful press who love to big England up, put them on a pedestal and take great delight in knocking them back down, individually or as a group.
I can't even read pre match spreads from the latest captain about how they are going to try REALLY hard this time only to roll out the same tired old excuses after another drab performance when it mattered.

Anyway, I've already wasted more time on England here than I allow myself, so back to QPR, which as I say matters much more to me.

It's a friendly, nothing more than a money making exercise for The FA to pay for the White Wembley Elephant...

Obviously none if the 'top' national team players are interested in what equates to 90 minutes trundling round in 1st gear avoiding injuries and filling the FAs pockets.

Personally I can't summon up the energy to care what England do In any game. Every player out there is a ******, and it bemuses me to see horrible c.nts like Ferdinand, Cole, Rooney, Carroll, Wilshere being lauded as heroes.

Quite right. The whole Club vs Country thing is completely irrelevant, I support QPR & England and always will - I don't need to choose between the two as they will never play at the same time (unless we get relegated back to the old division 3!!).

I did have a good old laugh at my (Welsh) work colleagues this morning, the Welsh football team is currently ranked #116 in the world, here's a select list of teams above them:-

                  #114 Surinam
                  #103 Kuwait
                  #099 Haiti
                  #089 Iraq
                  #073 Cape Verde Islands
                  #067 Botswana

                  Brilliant!

If you think our stars can pick and choose games for England - what about Wales. The likes of Giggs hardly ever played friendly matches…..

Really gets to me that Cappello is still the manager and cant even speak more then 100 words of the English language

Until he goes we will not preform to the our full potential

Its obvious some of the players aint getting on with him and it seems most supporters are in agreement that he is not what we want for the England team

                      Agree dale.

I was listening to him and I don't know what he was trying to say, but it sounded like he said 'we must sh it on the ball'.

His english is shocking and for a guy on 6 million a year u would expect him to be making more of an effort to learn the language. Plus I hate italian style football it doesn't suit us and even mancini is boring me to tears when I watch city.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I won't ever stop supporting my nation, however if people say they aren't even slightly disheartened, or lost a bit of care/interest in our national teams inept performances, then I'd go as far as to say that they are lying.

It's a lot harder to pay good money to watch them when they couldn't give a flying f**k about what is going on.

All we ask for is to show a bit of pride. Nothing wrong with that.

Would be disastrous. His style works with kids who are awed/terrified of him.

As seen at Man City, established players couldn't give a **** who he is or what he achieved.

The players do give a ****. And it is not only Capello - we have failed under the last few managers.

The point is english players are not as good as spanish, brazilian, german, argentinian etc. We are not as good at football here....because kids play with full size balls on full size pitches coached by dinousaurs and would rather play on their Wii anyway.

I still support the team even though we are ****.

Have to agree - the whole emphasis on football with kids is wrong in England, we marvel at players who can beat players and are comfortable on the ball cos it's such a rare thing. My son and I go to all home England games and the support there is as good as ever and I actually do think the players care. The manager probably should be an Englishman but hey we did nothing under Keegan, Mclaren and El Tel and Robson were glorious losers in semi finals so we can't lay it all at Cappelo's door, the FA should be ploughing money into quality cocaching from an early age with the emphasis on not losing possession.
