Unfortunately the missus is also my fiancee and the wedding is in Cardiff. The Groom is a Reading fan and had booked the wedding for the day before the last game of the season. Can't really envisage the bloody football league changing the date.

As I've previously stated I'm absolutely gutted....but I will get tickets for the Cardiff and Watford games. Please god let us gain promotion/win the Championship at one of these games..

It seems you have been shafted by the league's decision to move the final day to Saturday. Why did they do that so late in the day? Plenty of people make arrangements for last day games (like holidays and overnight stays) because it's always a bit of an event. Gutted for you mate - but (unlike some of those moaning about not getting a ticket for the Lids game) your plan is to be admired = get to the other games in the hope we tie up the title/promotion then.

is the trophy always presented last day of the season regardless of whether you have sown up promotion before?

                Not so!!!

Saturday night the missus comes home from a hard days shopping for an upcoming wedding……a wedding involving very good friends of ours. She then drops this bombshell…

"Oh the wedding is in early May, I hope it doesn't clash with your QPR thingy"

Yes, you guessed it, the wedding is on the 7th May, starting at 12:30pm!!

Absolutely gutted, can't get out of it!! For those of you who are going, have a drink on me!!!

Your QPR thingy, now that did make me laugh, I can hear my partner saying the exact same thing ! However my mates would not dream of arranging a wedding for the last game of the season especially at such short notice.
My sister arrange her wedding for Cup Final day in 1981 and I made it quite clear she did at her own risk, she was lucky it wasn't the following year ! Weddings are two a penny, Rangers winning something or playing at Wembley is going to get rarer and rarer !

My husband's niece is getting married on 7th. Soon as the game was switched informed the family I would be at Loftas Road. Didn't go down too well! Extra problem now my daughter is playing in the League Cup final at StadiumMK on Saturday as well. She's gutted at missing the game and my son and I are so disappointed we can't be at her big day. Damn the league and Sky!
