Absolutely gutted!

So it took me 3 hours of constantly hitting the re-dial button and then a further 30mins on hold to get tickets for the Leeds match. That was the hard part over, I could now relax and enjoy the thought of an amazing day out.

Not so!!!

Saturday night the missus comes home from a hard days shopping for an upcoming wedding……a wedding involving very good friends of ours. She then drops this bombshell…

"Oh the wedding is in early May, I hope it doesn't clash with your QPR thingy"

Yes, you guessed it, the wedding is on the 7th May, starting at 12:30pm!!

Absolutely gutted, can't get out of it!! For those of you who are going, have a drink on me!!!

There is absolutely NO WAY i'd give in to this as ticket and day already sorted,wedding would come second and i'd just say i'll get there as soon as the game is over,at least you'd have made the effort,your giving in far too easily,afterall,she wouldn't divorce you over it,and they all soon forget,your loss and a silly decision !!!!

No offence meant - but how can he be a mate arranging his wedding for that day!!

Back in the day, my Brother booked his stag weekend for the same weekend as the play off final - I pointed out to him that Rangers had a chance of getting there and I would be missing his do as a result.........48 hours later all arrangements were changed to a more suitable time - he's not Rangers by the way - and when we did Oldham he was the first person I called to say thanks. Mind you, even to this day I kid him on that he shouldn't have changed it as it would have saved me from one of those miserable big trip outings attached to being a Rangers fan!

my sister asked me to be god father to her first son.but the christening was the day of the play off final.she tried to run me over when she first see me after i told her i wouldnt be making it and she didnt talk to me for a year or so after the day.she got over it and is alright with me now.

Got say my newphew getting married oct 15th this year noy only it my birthday it a saturday which we could be playing. Told nephew be there in the evening if we local if in Liverpool etc enjoy the day.

I once turned down a free holiday skiing in Austria in december 1989 just because it clashed with Sheffield Wednesday away,the only thing taht would keep me away from the last game this year would be my own funeral,nothing else is more important.
