  • My comments regarding Leeds tickets

Following on from my thread yesterday...

I appreciate that some of my comments may have been received in a hostile and aggressive manner and I can understand why and for that I'm apologetic. The thread was started incensed by some of the stuff written about ST holders across all of our forums. However, I do stand by my comments of fans organising themselves and having the foresight to see issues regarding matchday tickets as our club sits of the brink of top flight football.

Since the takeover I feel ST holders have had a really raw deal and have witnessed first hand non ST Holders 'gloating', 'boasting' and 'rubbing ST Holders noses in it' about our tickets not representing VFM, getting ripped off by the club and how they managed to squeeze 3 adults in on a £20 family deal etc etc. So when the club rewards us ST Holders there is uproar which I find slightly ironic.

Do I think the club could have handled this slightly more fairly...Yes! However, who is to say the club hasn't had a massive rush on newbie members who have never appeared on their database; whose to say the list off members would have far outstripped the demand as well, leaving ST holders with no spares as well had they been issued to members first of all. There will be certainly a few cases of loyal fans missing out on this one, off cause this is unfair but on reflection these fans will probably ensure this will never happen again.

If your without a ticket for Leeds or any off the forthcoming fixtures then I hope you come down to Shepherds Bush regardless and join the party and ask about for tickets as they are bound to be floating about. Also I think this labeling of fans as glory hunters needs to stop as we are going to be selling out an awful lot in the future and its a bit un-necessary to keep abusing returning fans as ultimately we do want them to return.

I dont have a problem with anyone being called Newbies, Glory hunters, or what ever if they are Rs fans then fair enough, but they must realise that the club will look after ST holders first after all they were the people who showed loyalty and suppoted them when the price was hiked so drastically and I myself had to really think about buying mine and my sons STs all I hope is that the club remember this and when & if there is an Early bird price this year that this loyalty is reflected in the price for existing ST holder of 2 or more years I personally have had my ST for 28 years

the club have difficulty organising anything[fa charge] .S/T holders have been shafted big time by the club over the years so i'm suprised that they gave this oppotunity to them , and you can't blame them for taking it up . feel sorry for members that missed out ,but i'm sure tickets will find there way to people that want them .There will be plenty on offer around the pubs before the next 3 games , and it will be a brave man who will be asking way over the odds for a ticket infront of fellow R's . A couple of pints on top of the price fair enough, if you are a regular at matches people will know your face so ask around .BUT ,ask at the matches before the Leeds game. turn up on the day it might be a differant story
Football played the Charlie Ferris way

WCG good for you to offer some sort of apology, as you are correct in realizing some of your comments over the last few days have been 'out of order'. I do appreciate that this is a MB and you, like everyone, myself included, is entitled to their opinion.

You appear to be fairly 'new' to this board although you may have been on here previously under another username. However, since you started posting as WCG you appear to have this 'I am Mr QPR' attitude, and this along with recent comments on the Leeds ticketing has rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way.

But once again, well done for the apology
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

In 40 odd years of supporting the mighty, and occasionally not so mighty QPR, I dont remember anything that has caused so much bad feeling amongst 'fellow' supporters as this 'haves versus the have nots' of Leeds tickets.
FFS people, we all support the same club in whichever way we can, some every match, as I did when I lived in Ealing and some not so often, like me now living in Cornwall.
This is the best season we've had since 75/76 in my opinion and that ended in tears (for me anyway, I was only 11!). Can't we all chill out a bit, if you have a ticket, well done and enjoy the game. If you dont, then like me, do all you can to get one and if at the end of the day you cant, show your support in any way that you can. I'll probably make the trip and loiter around for the after match shennanigans.

Lets remember we are ALL QPR and stop kicking each other in the balls over who does/doesnt deserve to see the game.
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

            2015/2016, average at best.....

            2016/2017, same old, same old....

            2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!
