  • Project I've been working on

    Hi There

I got a bit ill just after christmas and spent a lot of time off work sick, so
I taught myself the basics of 3D modelling and started creating the ground
from memory, some measurements from satellite photos, and a whole lot
    of flickr photos.

I got about half way through when my health improved, but I figured I
might as well try to finish it.

I had a couple of camera angles printed out onto A1 paper (3ft by 2ft)
and they look great, though gloss paper doesn't really work so I'm going
to get them re-done on higher quality satin finish paper, then I think I'll
    probably get them framed.

    What do you think??

These images are drastically reduced in quality for the web, this is a
    snippet of the rendered file that went to the printers;

    CD included for scale!

      Very impressive mate.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

WOW. Send it to EA Sports-we could do with having Loftus Road on fifa 12!

          Looks brilliant though.

Now that would be great, except it takes an hour to render the image on a 16 core PC with 22gb of RAM so they might have to optimize it a bit to get it to perform ok!!

                They're not photos? That's incredible!
I'm half-expecting you to come back on April Fool's Day and tell us they were photos after all!

                    Very impressive Nick.

Only fault I can find is that the big screen is never on when the ground is empty.
