Benny I think you miss the point the general is making. Lots of fans waited till last minute then moaned. I for saw the problem and had to spend 175 of my own money.

Would people expect to stroll in to apple today and walk out with an I pad 2 tucked under their arm, or would they have had to Q all night??

I've sorted my tickets, but this thread is harsh. Especially coming from someone who claims to know someone who's bought 30 tickets in one transaction. Many people, including myself were on hold for hours online, and also on the phone.

I'm very fortunate to have a job where I can get away with that, but to write a post like this is slightly c**tish, if I'm being honest. Gloating about things, when there are probably many real fans who have missed out due to sc-um bag touts looking to make a profit from them is again c**tish.

Well done...you got tickets. I'm pleased for you all. I'll be there, as will my brothers, but I won't gloat. Plenty of fair weather fans will be there as well. I bet there are a few who have made many long away trips who were unfortunate to miss out.

I don't think its c**tish at all its the truth and if that is too harsh for some tough titty. You chose book online, but you live within an hr I believe of the ground that was your call, not one I would have made personally but if it paid off then fair enough.

The fella who bought 30 ticket in one hit had 15 ST's belonging to all his mates. Why have all 15 of them queuing extending the length of the queue in essence giving those booking on line or the phone more opportunity to grab tickets. You can look at it both ways the end of the day.

Many real fans have probably missed out but as I said previously if they didn't have the nous to address the situation properly thats their ****ing problem. Just look at how Jeffro and Oldhoop ensured they done what they had to do to get tickets.

Oh behave yourself is that the best excuse you can come up with. You can **** about on the phone all day or net at work but can't take the day off. If you can't make it down to LR then you arrange for someone else to, **** poor excuse.

How fans can travel to a game but not to the box office on a Friday is an awful excuse. Take the day off work and get there early. It's simple. The bloke at the front of the queue yesterday said he was there since 0610. Crazy as it may be, fair ****ing play. He for one won't be disappointed.

I've got a season ticket, so I am OK, but not everyone can take a day off work at the drop of a hat, and to question people's loyalty over this is incredible!!
There's a lot of us, including me, who cannot choose when they take their holidays/days off, or cannot just throw a sickie, as being found out would mean automatic dismissal from our jobs -- and, if you are the major wage-earner, like me, the repercussions for your family if that happens is HUGE.

So, sorry, I DO have sympathy for regulars who could not just "take a day off", or sit on the computer at work (which I couldn't) or whose work networks block the online ticketing site (which, again, mine does), walk-ups who can't make a few games so who don't get a season ticket -- and yesterday, frankly, being a member got you absolutely no-where if you were having to rely on the phone/online.
I know for a fact that some people who I have seen at lots of AWAY games this season haven't been able to get a ticket for that match -- so much for loyalty points.

With no match today, why didn't the club put these tickets on sale from 9am TODAY -- there would have still been people who couldn't have got down due to work commitments, but it would have enabled far more Mon-Fri's to go to the Box Office in person. When we played Chelsea in the FA cup, the tickets went on sale at 9am on a Saturday morning, and many of us, including me, were there queueing very early -- because we weren't at work and we could!

Fact is, I think the club under-anticipted this, and just put them on sale on a weekday as they do with all other games.
