  • Still lacking sympathy for those without Leeds tickets....

I've now read all the sob the stories across the various Messageboards and I have to admit I still am totally unsympathetic of those who have missed out tickets for the Leeds match.

I cannot believe that so many without tickets did not have the foresight to see problems getting tickets for this match would present months ago. I find it astounding that if you were in a position where you knew you were not going to be able to buy a ticket due to not having a Season Ticket, Membership or 5 game bundle then surely you must know at least one Season Ticket holder who could have sorted you out?

It's ridiculous to think that so many who travel into LR on a regular basis were too lazy to get off their a.rses and come down to the ground yesterday. Instead you relied on a Box Office and Online Ticketing System which has always been a joke.

Whilst few have admitted messing up and they will do all they can to be there on the day there many who seem to think they are owed a ticket to what is the biggest match we've played for over 15 years......so many off you just won't admit its your own fault because you left it too late!!!

For those of you who haven't got tickets there will be plenty knocking about, like me ST Holder's will be sitting on a few tickets ensuring they go to proper Rangers fans.

Spin it whatever way you want but you should have been on the ball enough to realise that giving ST Holders the opportunity to buy 2 tickets each would result in a quick sell out because the ST holders did.

This is not about glory hunters or who is the most loyal fans it was about simple common sense IMO.

any rangers fan wether its once a season or every game home and away is a rangers fan, theres just different levels of dedication.
if im honest all this leeds game cr ap on here since yesterday has been so cringey.
'ive got a ticket' (so ####ing what)

      Totally agree.

How fans can travel to a game but not to the box office on a Friday is an awful excuse. Take the day off work and get there early. It's simple. The bloke at the front of the queue yesterday said he was there since 0610. Crazy as it may be, fair ****ing play. He for one won't be disappointed.

Mate , I couldn't agree more. I don't have a ST this year but have been every home game and a few away. About 4 weeks ago I hassled the lads I go with to make sure we all had tickets for the remaining 7 or so home games. In fact I pin pointed Leeds game as a problem.
So one of the guys we go with joined as a member for 15 quid and thus we bought 3 lots of 5 game bundles including the Leeds game.
Now I had to come up with 175 large ones but I knew this sorted me out for the season.

Now I know a fee posters on here are exactly Mensa candidates but surely they could have forseen this potential problem as I did!

Soon as ST prices are announced, I am getting one once again, only missed last season due to my baby boy being due and needed money etc.

Use your canister now for next season yeah??

Its nothing more than bone idle laziness, 'why stand in the cold for 1 1/2-2hrs with all the other Rangers fans when I sit indoors and press the redial button instead'.

I couldn't get down the ground yesterday so my Dad went, I was onto him on Thursday morning telling him to shake a leg when I realised I had the days mixed up.

Totally agree Hoopaman you do reap what you so.

That's why I have a season ticket, avoid all this crap every time the prawn sandwich brigade and the we have supported QPR for years but have never made it public knowledge fans decide to show their ugly mugs again. No matter the cost if it takes a months wages to get one next season so be it.
15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

This is it Jeffro, you realised the situation you were in and you addressed it early doors.

There is no excuse IMO, I had mates phoning me up weeks ago about this.

Like most I saw it coming so bought a 5 game ticket bundle for myself and my lad. (Then promptly got a refund on the games I couldn't make) but guaranteed our tickets for Hull and Leeds.

Those who struggled yesterday shouldn't really be suprised though should they!!!!????

To be fair the fixture list was only announced around July 2010. Them crafty boys at the FA didn't give us a fans a chance of getting the tickets! Nor did QPR who have had it printed on the website for a while now that the tickets for this match would be available to season ticket holders and members on 25/3.

You didn't have to go there yourself. You could of asked someone to queue up for you with the client ref etc and bingo bango Roberts your mothers brother tickets to the game.

They would sooner spend £70 on a phone bill instead trying to get through to the box office or online ticketing system.

I have to say any seasoned QPR fan knows you should never rely on the expertise of the Box Office or its Commercial Managment to get things right...where have these supporters been for years

I've sorted my tickets, but this thread is harsh. Especially coming from someone who claims to know someone who's bought 30 tickets in one transaction. Many people, including myself were on hold for hours online, and also on the phone.

I'm very fortunate to have a job where I can get away with that, but to write a post like this is slightly c**tish, if I'm being honest. Gloating about things, when there are probably many real fans who have missed out due to sc-um bag touts looking to make a profit from them is again c**tish.

Well done...you got tickets. I'm pleased for you all. I'll be there, as will my brothers, but I won't gloat. Plenty of fair weather fans will be there as well. I bet there are a few who have made many long away trips who were unfortunate to miss out.

Edit: Thank you to KevinQPR who very kindly helped me out by queuing up for a couple of hours. The man is a diamond.

I feel sorry for em, without a ticket they cant get in to see the game, maybe we can play Leeds twice, then we could sell more tickets.
