I would much rather take someone from the Championship looking to prove something and I really think all we need are players like Sinclair, Graham and Holt added to our attacking options and maybe a Watson type player added, to cover the holding role.

      ----------------------- Watson/Derry/Faurlin ----------------------
      Routledge/Smith/Hogan - Adel/Buzz/?? - Sinclair/Smith/Hogan
      --------------------- HH/Hewitt/Graham/Holt ---------------------

You obviously don't know much about European football then! Some players there who will be free's who would be cracking signings, but probably out of our reach.

I fully expect Jamie Mackie to feature in Warnocks plans for the Prem too. He is the kind of hard working, never say die player that every battling Prem team needs. whether he turns out to be good enough or actually returns to his previous level of energy after a long lay off remains to be seen though

I agree 100% and in truth, I actually forgot about Jamie and if he comes back fighting fit and not mentally ****ed like Vine did, he would replace hogan as on option on either the right of the left or

So would I but he is 32, he has nothing to prove and would want a monopoly contract as it will be is last "big one" and that is something I don't think we can offer and in essence is my point of taking top Championship players instead. Hewitt and Graham have everything to prove and Dudley Junior Campbell has proven you do not need to be a world cup winner to play in the Premier league and score goals.

I have just read a piece on Taarabt in the Sun and it would not surprise me if Adels mate Chamakh joined us, as he would probably be affordable.

oh don't I?1 thanks Morris for telling me that! Anyway I'm sure you didn't mean to be an arrogant winker!!!

If you think we'd actually be in for Klose or any of the other Europeans listed then dream on bro. That's why I'm not too excited!

There's plenty in that list to get excited about, the likes of Klose, Mexes etc, but they are not realistic signings for us.

Your first post suggested the quality of players on the list was poor. Thats why I said what I said.

                    No arrogance intended.

Nope read it again and you still sound like you are preaching. Anyway no offence taken and I think we are in danger of violently agreeing so move on and dream of the Prem with some "proper" signings" NOt some over-age former superstars who are past it and want a big pay day before they hang 'em up!

Fair play Paul, but forgetting about Jamie - poor fella. Agree that he comes into the set up ahead of Ephraim but given Warnock's apparent view of Hogan I expect he will feature too. Actually, given the time and space some teams give you in the PL I think Hogan has a role to play going forward and it is very much up to him as to whether he can make it at the top table rather than being a good player for a moderate Champ team.

Alot of the players on that list are mid to late 20s, hardly over-age! The unrealistic ones are the has beens, the likes of Pirlo, Klose etc.

And if giving my opinion on who is a potentially exciting signing is preaching then I guess I'm preaching...

A list full of players out if our reach, and Lee Crocks...

David Jones, Marek Cech, Lee Bowyer are the only ones in our reach and highly questionable If any of them are good enough.
