You always get unfortunate cases like that Nodge but I think getting Tarbs on a 4 year contract would be a calculated gamble, whereas we all knew Hargreaves was a sick note but having a fantastic world cup fooled man u into buying him, so totally different really.

That's what I've been told Nodge. NW has started the ball rolling. The club wants a 2 year extension which they will get back on his value if he's sold. His continued form in the Premiership would make worth somewhere around £15million surely with a long deal. Fingers cross he keeps on improving.

You could say that about loads of players mate. If we could predict the future then we'd all be millionaires!

Exactly - it's all a big gamble. Game is also littered with those who shine for a couple of seasons and then fall out of form and favour once a nice fat deal has been negotiated. Michael Ricketts, Darius Vassell, James Beattie, Kris Boyd, Adebayor etc....

I really hope this is true as when we go up he plays a season for us, lets say for the sake of this post Adel does want to move, he will only have 1 year on his contract and that could be pennys as a transfer fee, fingers crossed !

That's how I see it. Words like potentially and gamble are surely part and parcel of the financial time bomb affecting the modern game. If a longer contract potentially increases his value it makes it a risk worth taking and weare is right to say that Adel has stood up well to the rigours of the Championship having barely missed a game. He is probably the most kicked player in the league and some of the hits have been heavy so he is built of strong stuff. Still, we've all witnessed some of the injuries the likes of Rooney and Co pick up - more about studs getting caught in the turf than being smashed by a tackle - so here's hoping.

Adel made me smile when I heard his comment the other day about the number of games he had played - his Championship experience will hopefully have helped in the maturing process and we will have a player worthy of the gamble when the vultures start to circle.

the rumour iove heard is that he will be offerd one million a season but not to extend his current ,too get that he will have to sign a complete new contract
which will be a four year contract and the sell on clause will be fifteen million pound,but if he does really well i expect qpr to offer him another contract worth two million a season,with the sell on clause being 25 million,but that is at the moment only conjecture ,but the one million pound is a deffo
