Depends how he does next season in the Prem. If he takes the **** and scores regularly then not long at all.

Everyone, not just QPR, will be watching to see how he adapts.

I think we can persuade him to have a season with us in the Prem, Warnock can sell it to him. We may have to reject bids from spain but we thought that last summer and no teams made spurs offers, or thats what seemed to be the case. After that it depends how well we do

very interesting article with warnock in the paper.

He said QPR fans will only be able to enjoy the company of him and Adel for another 2 years. I think he is trying to tempt Adel into staying and saying they should both jack it in together although I expect Neil will stay longer than 2 years.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I take it this is the "better let them down gently that he's off" thread...?

One reasonable season in the prem and he is off, if he does better than reasonanble then xmas depending on our position in the league.

I think it also depends on how we are doing in the league. If we're doing well there's more chance he would stay,if we're doing poorly there's more chance he'll be off in the January window.

i reckon that he'll have at least a crack at the Premiership with us - he's not silly and hw knows that he won't get a proper attempt at the premiership with any other team, as nobody else will build their team around him.

having said that, if he decides to leave in the Summer, we get a good price for him (somewhere approaching £10 million) and he extricates him from the club in the proper, professional manner (that is leaves with respect, and doesn't go on strike etc.) then i will bear him absolutely no hard feelings whatsoever, and i will wish him well, and thank him for a fantastic year...

If we were offered good money, I wouldn't be too sorry to see him go.

He will almost certainly be off in the summer. He will attract a lot of interest and we should get a good price for him.

Fair play to him, he is the key player to us going up and he will have earned a big thank you from all of us.

Not sure why anyone thinks he would stay a year. He will only stay a year with us if no one bigger comes in for him, which is not going to happen. I wouldn't be suprised if some of the really big boys take a sniff - he is capable of Champions League football at some point.

aaaah, but therein lies the rub. if he gets snapped up by one of the 'big boys', how much game time will he get realistically? he came to us because he hated sitting in the stiffs at Spurs, so to go to, say Sevilla and sit in the Stiff's would be a backward step.

He knows this, and more importantly, Warnock knows this.

depends who/if somebody comes in for him.

marseille, lyon, top 6 prem, top italian or spanish clubs etc..

if its just WBA we will keep him for another year.

Jeff, depending on the wages, it has become clear that 90% of players will happily sit on the bench at a big club if there is a big pay rise in it for them.

And he has the talent and the ego to not be sitting on the bench indefinately, even at a big club.

He will have helped us to get promotion and has put himself in the shop window big time.

He hasn't made a secret of wanting away at the sniff of an aftermatch Barcelona shirt and who can blame him wanting to get on the big stage where even more people can enjoy his talent.

So, I reckon he'll be off in the Summer for a big fee and we can build for the Premiership campaign.

                              Jan.

I can't see anyone paying what we'll ask without seeing how he performs in the Prem. Remember, he's flopped once at that level.
