We've done alright without one this season, so why not next?

Because most of our goals have been down to Taarabt, and he probably won't be with us next season.
We haven't scored many goals without his assists or finishes -- yesterday was a rare exception.
Think we will need a much better strikeforce next season, whatever division we're in.

Because it will be the Premier League. To be successful there, we'd need at least three players we can rely on to be available week in week out, something our current lot have struggled to do. Helguson and Hulse are fairly decent at Championship level, but have shown nothing in their earlier (long) careers to suggest that they can step up to the Prem.

Do you REALLY think Taraabt will be able to be as effective in our team in the Prem? He'll do well, but will not be scoring 15 goals I'm fairly sure...

Anyway, who cares how we do in the Prem; we all know, long term competing with the big boys will cripple the club with its fan base, so let's just enjoy the end of this season, spend what the owners (whoever they may be) want to GIVE to the club (note: not loan to the club) and see where we end up next year.
