thing is, if we go down, 20000 empty seats will be horrible to look at....like coventry!
25000 would do, does fulham and better to fill than be a wigan.QPR, remember that name, you'll be cursing it later

If QPR go up, a new ground will be needed as QPR will easily have demand for more than 18,100 tickets for at least 10 games a season Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham, Fulham, Liverpool, Mau Utd, Man City, Aston Villa, Newcastle. And my guess is that nearly every game would have demand for 18-25,000 tickets as a minimum.
Of course, building this ground will take a few years and plenty of money.

We need a new ground today. How many people have been unable to attend recent home games? I think we could easily have had a few thousand more at recent games - we're just kissing money away. How much we're losing is moot but whatever the figure is it will be magnified in the prem. Thing is how long would it take to make it happen? I can't believe anything can be achieved in under 30 months (unless there is already a substantial amount of scoping/planning that's taken place in the background).

Understand why people want to be cautious but also it needs to be recognised that just to find a site and gain planning permission could take a couple of years easy, plus at least a year to build. Sure its a gamble but if the owners are serious - big if - then they should start now. If they backed us fully we would become an established premier side once more and then as others have suggested think we would get 22/25,000 for even fairly unsexy games owing to the lure of the premiership and 30,000 for bigger games.

And get 30k for the "bigger" games. Minimum.
I'd bet my house on it.

The owners (if they haven't already) will soon realise that, and anyone who doesn't think we'd sell out the home areas every week will be realising it pretty soon too.
Forget our fan base from the early 90's... it's bigger now. People have grown up, had kids, and they've grown up too.
"The Premiership Experience" is a far bigger draw now, etc...
The we can play Lazio at Stadio Olimpico
and they can play us at the Olympic Stadium
it would be.... wunderbar!!!

just wanted to bring this thread back up now because of the Leeds game and what we've seen, now... forgive me if I'm wrong here, but you think we might have a bigger ticket rush for the likes of utd and chels.hit? I know vs Leeds we should lift the trophy.. but stillQPR, remember that name, you'll be cursing it later
