As Nodge said Spence, 3 points shows that the FA have some balls but by the same token it wont affect our promotion bid, also wont allow the vultures of Norwich, Cardiff and Swansea try to appeal as will will finish way ahead of them and 3 points wont make a difference.

Very suprised bythe fine though I would have thought we would have written out a cheque for 2 mill no probs to fark the FA off??

NB - "if" it is 3 points, we'd still appeal and try to get it knocked down to 2,1 or a whopping fine. Like any good negotiations, the opening gambit is open to manouever.

If we appeal that 3 points wouldn't there be a risk that it may increase if we lose that appeal?

I am thinking maybe we should take our medicine although appeal if there are no further risks.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Jeffro - just shows you how bad are game is at the moment from the FA down to the referees.

RVP got booked last Tuesday for kicking the ball away after the whistle had gone.In my opinion, very harsh as he seemed not to hear the whistle.Yet at weekend, james vaughan i think it was, lashed the ball into our net and was not booked yet Adel T did get booked for kicking ball away...

Whatever the outcome of this hearing, surely will be a benchmark for future irregularites.

I remember when i ran local sides on Saturdays and Sundays. If i forgot, or sent incorrect paperwork to the KCFA, i got fined. If we played a player(I know Faurlin was signed..but just making point)that had not signed, we were deducted the points from the game we played..if we won- and fined.

So - if they decide that this sort of offence carries a 3 point penalty, thats the bench mark for all future cases.Thats fine - but a 3 point deduction doesn't really send out a message (in my opinion)maybe after the problems with the Tevex saga, they should have had some sort of rule in place for the irregularites we have committed, rather than to just make some up just for the sake or keeping all parties happy.

Whatever they decide, you can bet one of the chasing clubs will feel aggreived.

I was listening to Kris kamara on Sunday and guest who all felt it was a strange time to bring this case up and neither parties seemd to want QPR to get a point deduction. But - had they had this rule in place at begining of season with punishment already written down, this would have been done and usted by now. However, the fact they there are only 9 games left and we have been given the right to put our case forward, it could drag out for a little longer, whereupon 3 points could either be very important or rather totally irrelevant

Don't expect any points deducted and even a 3 point deduction would disappoint me

I do think the punishment is probably already decided in advance... IF we are found guilty of all charges.
They can't just sit there and say "right, now they're guilty of it all... what now??"

But every bit of defence we come up with will dilute it some. And maybe, hopefully, knock out the chance of a points deduction all together.

In reality, ANY point deduction because of an admin issue would be a disgrace, and totally out of proportion.

Maybe we could negotiate up the points deducted if we have enough for promotion and reduce the fine.

                  *Breaking News*...
The FA have decided to dock every club that has fouled Ali Faurlin, as he was officially a spectator. ITK fact.

Though I think the Fine may be nearer £750,000, if no points are taken.
if the fine is £750,000 . cant we give them Rob Hulse

Yeah hulse will make a decent book end for all that FA filing.

The book end is more mobile.

I remember last season many were saying the same about HH and also when Furlong originally joined, lets hope we get a similar turn round in RH !

Furlong and HH had both played premiership football relatively successfully, hulse played 3 games in a relegated sheffield utd team.

Sorry but your optimisim is too far fetched there.

"With Leeds failing to gain promotion to the FA Premier League, Hulse's ambition led elsewhere and in July 2006, Leeds accepted a bid of £2.2 million from Sheffield United although the fee could have risen to £3 million,[9] beating Norwich to Hulse's signature.[10] Hulse scored on his debut for the club against Liverpool; scoring the first goal of the 2006–07 FA Premier League season,[11] although Liverpool managed to equalise through a Robbie Fowler penalty. He went on to be the clubs's top scorer for the season, netting regularly until March."

He had 8 Premier League goals up untill March, when he suffered a bad leg break.
