depends what we can do on wages. if our championship experience is anything to go by though i'd say we're more likely to have a hefty wage budget than much of a prem-competitive transfer budget. you'd think there are a few quality bargains to be had transfer-fee wise in the man city and tottenham 2nd teams though... swp and crouch come to mind (both already mentioned... obviously). bring in those two for $6m or so each and pay them $40k/w and we'd have a real premiership side after a few decent journeyman defenders. that's assuming we hold on to everyone we have now, including loans. dreaming? probably.

                it's a US thing
you bump a thread if you want to keep it going, it usually smacks of desperation but some guys don't see the threads until the weekend
so they might post if they are on.

Hell needs to freeze over first. SWP on near on £90k a week, Crouch equal top earner at Spurs around £70k a week. Transfer fees would be the least of our worries.

Never ever ever going to happen in a million years I'm afraid.

these sort of players have got to take massive massive reductions in their pay packets tho nodge. they dont earn that till they die, especially when they cant get ever get a game and are no longer required by their club.
i can see crouch back here.

Crouch is playing regularly at Spurs. Scored 4 goals in the Champions League as well this season. I can't see him giving up playing in Europe or a massive pay cut to come to us.

Here's everyone i could think of. Things to remember though are who might become available from whoever gets relegated, and the fact that there are most likely some much better quality signings abroad (like Tiote, Ben Arfa, Demba Ba) if we scout our cards right.

Also going to presume Routledge & Miller will sign permanently.

                              Walker (Spurs) L
                              Clyne (Palace)
                              Bertrand (Chelsea)
                              Konchesky (Liverpool)
                              Halford (Wolves)

                              Onuoha (City)
                              Caulker (Spurs) L
                              Bruma (Chelsea) L

O'Hara (Spurs) (probably going to Wolves unfortunately)
                              Pratley (Swansea)
                              Danns (Palace)

From your comprehensive and obviously well thought out list
I'd take Konchesky and Walker, Onohua, Jamie o'Hara and Max Gradel
I am not familiar with the rest, Gradel reminds me of Ian Wright, Ruel Fox, the guys at Palace, fast and with good feet, and tough as nails.

the fantasy selection is exactly what you said, a pure fantasy, we won't get any one of those, remember, these guys played at the San Siro, think they want to play in front of 18,000 stuck in the relegation zone all season?
