  • Basingstoke R's

I noticed a few fellow R's who post on WATRB are from the 'glorious pastures' of Basingstoke.

Speaking to other R's in the town, there was mention of us all meeting up at the Train station and going to the Leeds game together - ala the play-off final when a coach load off us went to Cardiff.

Let us know what you think ?

    You R's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      I'm a Basingstoke R, live in Riverdean ( Eastrop )

Even though it will mean nothing as we will be champions on the Derby match day i'd be more then happy getting a train up to London with you guys, U R'SSS
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Remember the trip well, I've never seen so much alcohol on a 'dry footy bus' before

We'll defo have to organise something for the Leeds game, not sure about me buying the first round though. Should be a special day - if all goes to plan ???

Will do 'humpty', I'll refresh this thread when the time gets nearer.

As you say: would be good to meet up beforehand and have a few beers on the train - it's an early kick-off for the Leeds Game which will limit the time in the pub before the game, however this will extend the celebratory drinking time after the match

Lived in Basingstoke for 25 years (was born there, went to Kempshott school, Richard Aldworth and QMC college...) parents still live in Brighton Hill

Thankfully, i'm one of the very few who manages to leave Basingstoke, and much happier living in Sunny London...

                            Jeff,

Small world; I went to Aldworth too (where I failed to get an education) and currently live in Brighton Hill - unfortunatley I have not managed to escape !!!!!!

I left Aldworth in 1984 - when were you there ?

                            Cheers
