Alright lads, booked train up for scunny just now and I managed to save around 12.5 on train.
Instead of getting a return direct from London to scunthorpe get a return from London to Doncaster (as you need to change here anyway) and then get an anytime off peak return from Doncaster to scunthorpe.
12.5 ain't a huge saving but every little helps for a few extra beers!
