To be fair to Pete, I think that he's saying that with GP still being here, the club don't think he's done much wrong as yet. Not smoothint it over, just saying, mate.

Also, he said yesterday, of maybe the day before, that if this was to be GP's faultm then he should 'f**k off', and that it would be a 'kick in the nuts' for those who defended him all those years.

I may have misjudged my statement in the 1st paragraph, but the second I definitely read.
