  • There is one group of people who would know.

I've checked with the online bookies and they all still have us as nailed on to go up. No drift in the price is a very good indicator IMHO.

Small comfort maybe but I'll take any and from what I understand its a heavy fine and slapped wrist.

But remember its all academic for the time being as we still need at least another 12-15 points to secure promo, see right here and now its all about football results first!

They wont lengthen our odds yet.
If they push our odds out and then nothing happens points wise they stand to lose a fortune.
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

    2015/2016, average at best.....

    2016/2017, same old, same old....

    2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

        Betfair.

We were 1.33 to win the League. We're now 1.50.

        That's a drift.

Bookies will not be able to call this one. They'll sit tight. Why would they risk letting the odds drift?

The time to reach for the bog roll is if all of a sudden people start lumping on the likes of Swansea Cardiff etc

Betfair isn't a bookies though, it's just normal people betting.

And bookies use it as a guide. The drift will start soon.

                      Oh look!

The pink ones are getting bigger and the blue ones are shortening up.

Nothing there to suggest a major a problem, normal daily fluctuations but I'm keeping an eye on it. we are still odds on across the board, happy for now!

Bookmakers react to Market conditions. If a group of Cardiff/Swansea fans lump on their team in the hope we'll get a points deduction, bookmakers have to cover their backs and shorten their odds.

                            Thanks for that.

I was a bookie for 12 years, always wondered how it worked.

True but different, look out for our odds, thats where the knowledge comes into play, yes the punters will nibble for sure but a real shift, out to say 5/4 would worry me.

                              Clutching at straws probably!
