I was fairly new to QPR in 83 so the run up was easier for me, they had a good size lead as well! I must admit I'm getting more and more nervous each game as we inch closer, I was so happy Saturday after the late winner! Today is my Birthday and I've told anyone who asks all I want is a QPR win at the New Den! Most people over here don't really get it! lol

Happy Birthday Gator - I know your pain about nobody getting it - My neigbours still think I'm a little weird when I do goal celebrations in my garden in the snow with my shirt up over my head - I think they put it down to the fact that they believe all English are a little eccentric.

83 was an amzing season, & as some have already said, no playoffs meant top 3 went up so slightly less pressure - being 16 at the time meant adult fare on the bus but too young to legally drink ;)

I remember having a scrapbook on all the newspaper cuttings from that season, including the "Terry's All Gold" article after we won promotion - Lost that back in 2002 due to a house fire :( - But that season & the Wembley final prior to that have helped me keep the faith over the past 15 years of termoil.

Fondest memory though has to be the march to Wembley for the 82 final
