    Liverpool
    Man U
    Man C
    Arsenal
    Spurs
    Chelsea
    West Ham
    Fulham

These games are guaranteed to sell out. Whether 20 or 25 or 30k tickets could be sold for them is debateable.

The key thing is that we can't support this team's wages without additional revenue. So either build capacity or double ticket prices for these 8 class A games.

Agreed, its funny how some seem think the rest of us don't know our own support well enough by now just because we have been absent from the PL for a long time.

Can't be done without buying all the houses, entering a new S106 with the council, planning permission and a season long ground share at the Bridge. Too expensive for a very limited and negative economic return.

A brand new stadium is the only way forward I'm afraid. LR simply cannot be redeveloped to get anything more than 23k in there.

But overall point, Pete is right. Landscape has changed in 15 years. We'd sell out pretty much every home game.

Every home game would sell out imo.

So if we stay put and make no investment in the stadium, ticket prices will go up (last time there used to be Class A, B and C games).

For the 8 Class A games, what will be the price range? 60-100 pounds a ticket?

If that is the price for a single class A match, then a season ticket in the gold areas (if these stay) will be towards a £1000.

Perhaps 2 classes of games, A and B. Can't see Wigan, Blackpool, Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves, Birmingham, West Brom, Sunderland, Cardiff, Forest, Norwich, Swansea necessarily selling out, especially midweek.

Correct. We played in the PL in front of 13,000-14,000 many a time. Things have moved on but I doubt our fanbase has improved during our dark-age. To start with we'll get a lot of sell- outs but it won't last if we're lucky enough to be knocking around the mid-table with nothing to play for. We all know that the ticket prices will be eye-watering too. How many will pay £45 to watch us play Wigan or Sunderland?

Hope I'm wrong and we sell out every time. We'll see.

Let's get there first, see what the attendances are like and visit this thread again.

But please, let's just get there first.

So, how is it that half of the Premier League games are not sell outs?

Many have thousand of empty seats. Yes THOUSANDS.

We will sell out half our games.

                        White City General,

Its always worth a debate, but too many make the comparison with football late eighties/early nineties.

Football is bigger now. We've got the supporters, just look at the League Cup final and 75-76 season we were not getting 18,000? I'd could compare those, just like you do with the last time we were in the Premiership.

Demand is really high now and for the Leeds game I maintain the club could have sold 30,000 tickets, so what figure manchester United in the premiership?

I'm just saying if at all possible, club should look to increase within the grounds of Loftus Road, because 22-25,000 would be the norm. If we maintained our premiership status over a longer period (ie like Fulham) it may need more.

                          Ellerslie,

Very much doubt that kind of increase. Though regarding the price, Chelsea at home for £40 is far more appealing than Scunthorpe at home for so many supporters and thats understandable.

Crowds across clubs in the late eighties were low, compared to now. Thats why Arsenal have a 60,000 capacity and Spurs are looking to increase

Phark me, our ground is too small for div 1 let alone the prem.
Some people just dont want to see this club grow, they like to stay in the rundown little ol stadium that is Loftus rd....dear o dear.
                            They seek him here.................

Double it. You'd be nearer the mark.

Expect cat A games to be £55 to £65 and 'run of the mill games' around £40. I think ST's will give a good discount for those who have them this season, probably £100 to £150 saving as opposed to the 2 game discount given this year. New ST's will be high.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!
