  • Cardiff Supporters a disgrace

This isn't a anti Welsh thread this is about football fans who turn on their team and management at the drop of a hat. I'm sure most off you have been following them on their forum this season CCMB so you'll understand where I'm coming from here but there is surely not another set of supporters in the division so undeserving of promotion. Now I know we have our own doom and gloomers but for every one we have (off which I won't name names as you know who you are) they must have at least a dozen. They have a whole section of their support on there dedicated slaughtering Dave Jones at every opportunity. Yesterday they booed off their team despite being one point of the automatics and now some are even slowly turning on Jay Boothroyd and Bellamy.

I really believe Cardiff are about to implode and at the heart of it will be their fans who expect to win every match. It wasn't so long ago there was discontent amongst our own support though the route cause of that was about what was going on off the pitch not on it. Contrast Swansea fans with Cardiff on PlanetSwans and you will for the best part to see a different type of supporter. I'd happily see Swansea go up instead of Cardiff this season as I think they will appreciate what they have achieved more.

I just hope now that Warnock has set us on the righteous road we continue to show the team the same level of support when things aren't going so well now that we have a bit of stability whatever league we are in.

Let's wait to judge others and see what our fans do if we lose a couple of games. We have our fair share of boo boys.

Nothing would make me more happy than to see them remain in the Championship & their owners walk away leaving them piled high in a steaming mound of sh!t.

No denying that and you can guarantee they will rear their ugly head at the first opportunity but this is different. Their manager who happens to be one of their most successful in modern times is the subject of venomous abuse week in week out.

Thats debatable they have great individuals but best squad, I'm not to sure about that.

We have hard crowd to please at the best of times but the last thing their supporters should be doing is giving their team stick at this stage of the season seeing as where they are in the league. Booing a team of loanees as we all know doesn't bode well....I'm not complaining about their plight far from it, just making an observation.

I agree with you about the Cardiff fans, but what do you think this board, and indeed all the QPR messageboards would be like if we were in exactly the position they are in?
We have been top for the whole season, one week excepted, and for the last few months have been well clear, but it hasn't stopped some people from complaining regularly.

I think our supporters are more nervous than complaining, and use the negative as some sort of insurance if it goes #### up

Funny thing is I remember gareth or some cardiff fan coming on here earlier this season thinking they had re-invented the footballing wheel saying quality loans were the answer. We of course laughed quietly having tried precisely the same thing last season. Its all about building a squad and team spirit - which warno has given us in spades and cardiff lack completely. Oh well, maybe they will find the promotion formula next season....

The one that tickled me was the Palace fan jams123 who said George Burley was a better manager the Neil Warnock.

glass houses and all that but if cardiff are so good, why have we been clear top for most of the season?
thye are in debt, spent huge in their squad and under achieving or not
we truly out played them at qpr....and i believe we will do so at their dump too.

our fans stayed solid behind us yesterday, patient and were rewarded....
imagine last season and how we'd have been on their back?

we are moving on, together after learning.

They are pretty poor as a bunch, but don't come on here holier than thou about owners walking away - we can't exactly claim to be self sufficient now, can we?

Also, wind back a few years to the season we got promoted to this league; the boo boys were pretty vocal that year and many were keen to point out that we had the highest wage bill and the **best squad** of players yet we only scraped up in the end.

And, what kind of a rough ride did Olly get when he kept the first team that Paladini tried to assemble in mid table?

Make no mistake about it, they have seen their team fail to achieve over the last few seasons and must be pooh-ing a brick over their precarious financial situation, but for OUR fans to start wishing for their owners to leave to leave them in the pooh is a bit rich considering we're pretty reliant too...

That said, I'd love to be able to meet that **** who danced his way down the train queue after the Play off Final face to face on the day they were liquidated...
