  • Warnock wont risk Smith

"QPR boss Neil Warnock is unlikely to risk Tommy Smith in the home clash against Leicester.

Experienced attacker Smith suffered a hamstring injury during the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on February 13 and has only taken part in one full training session since.

However, on-loan striker Ishmael Miller could return to the squad despite missing the 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough with a tight hamstring, and could even replace Akos Buzsaky in the starting line-up.

Midfield duo Wayne Routledge and captain Adel Taarabt have both been suffering from minor cold symptoms during the week but are expected to retain their starting places, while Fitz Hall and Danny Shittu are likely to continue their partnership in central defence following two consecutive clean sheets.

Leicester will be without Patrick van Aanholt for the showdown with Championship leaders QPR.

The Dutch defender, on loan from Chelsea, suffered a thigh strain during the 1-1 draw with Midlands rivals Coventry and faces around a month on the sidelines.

Bruno Berner is the natural replacement at left-back but boss Sven-Goran Eriksson also has other options.

Kyle Naughton could switch sides while Ben Mee and Miguel Vitor can also play in that position.

Chris Weale is another fresh injury concern after the goalkeeper hurt his back in training. He will be monitored.

The Foxes will be looking for a return to winning ways in their quest for a play-off place having taken just one point from their last two games."
