**** it. Uncertainty is never good for a football club and this invites it in spades. Look how its lit this Board up suddenly. You think those whose jobs depend in it are just going about business as usual. 67% means 23% also in air.

It does explain why the relocation document never saw the light of day. I, for one, am instinctively not happy about this. The Sun report didn't warrant a response.

Another reason why this is not good news at the moment.

Maybe Clariridge is the buyer. We know how much he loves us.

If something is happening behind the scenes and reports coming out in the media our board can hardly sit back and not say anything! It was no doubt kept in house for as long as possible.

Its no big deal for it to come out now, makes no difference to our team or the ability of our players...
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

I have just seen the Amit statement, and quite how anyone spins it as prima facie good news is a mystery to me. What he is saying - all he is saying - is that it isn't the Mittal shares that are up for sale. So what, frankly! Whoever gets the 67% will determine what if any role the Mittals and Amit have. They will be minority shareholders no matter what. All they could do is sell their own. The hints and rumours that Mittals are brokering this with a friend of theirs seems to me to have no evidence to support it whatsoever and even if it did I am not sure what inference we are supposed to draw from it.

Fact is we just have to get on with it and hope the squad does too. But ****ing unnecessary instability introduced by all this.

Disagree. No reason to make a statement at all. Rumours and the city pages are full of this day by day in every walk of business but announcements are only ever made to influence the negotiations and the price. Who has this helped? The statement says **** all so helps no one, not staff, squad, creditors no one. They could sit there saying nothing forever quite frankly - until there is a deal it is essentially two blokes talking. Nothing gained from this, bar, slightly, it being honest and open. But is only a smidge even in that direction.

Stanley75, I am quite sure there are rules that say if a companu is in talks with a 3rd party, which may or may not result in the sale of a company, you do need to make a statement, unless you are a private company, which i do not think QPR is.

Not sure why they would be worried?

New investors might pump alot more into the club.

I shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Bernie is using the opportunity to cash in while we are on the up and promotion is looking very likely. He is a clever businessman, and when he had the opportunity to acquire a London based football club at a bargain price he couldn'r resist it even though he knows little about football and is as passionate about it as I am about curling, land hockey and volleyball. I think no one has ever expected him to be in this for a long time, and I think this shouldn't surprise anyone. I think timining is as good as it can ever be for him.

I think timing is also ok for Warnock and supporters. If new owners with deep pockets are arriving, it will give them and Warnock time to put together a good squad for next season. It is better to get new owners now than a week or two before transfer deadline in August, with no time to plan player investments for our Premier League comeback.

What makes you think that Paul ?

I was under the distinct impression that is exactly what it is nowadays.
