Welcome one and welcome all, if their paying punters and help us improve our fanbase then excellent.

We need a new stadium, the only thing to make that a reality is a fanbase to fill it..

      Agreed.

It's money in the pot and if we have any future ambitions we need money.

        when prices go up
sadly more genuine fans priced out....then the "neutrals" move in to see rooney and co
and sit in our end, like foolham
        to be honest...makes me vomit.

where are the ones who went wycombe tuesday night??
burnley in a cup replay away etc etc
many face real ££££ worries with job losses, pay cuts....i hope the club stick with "us"

Agree, but as that ****** Ali Russel said, he does not care about those who can't afford to come, he only cares about those who can. Shocking, but that is the way QPR FC see it.

All I know is back in the late eighties to early nineties, when I was not married, had no kids, had spare cash, lived near to London and had the time, I got to every game home or away that I could. I am now married with a son and consequently not a lot of spare cash or time, so can't go too often.

And yet I constantly hear from some that they have more of a god given right to see the club WE support.

Its bad enough hearing other clubs go on about being bigger / better than my team; when this debate comes up fellow Rs fans start competing with each other to be the **best** fan, it becomes laughable.

If we were to limit attendance to the 17,000 fans who have been season ticket holders for X number of years, how on earth do you think the club's fan base will grow? If you exclude others simply because you feel that they are inadequate because they haven't been as often as you, where will that take us?

A reminder for you all (again). The accounts show just how sustainable a team getting to the Premiership on our gates is; if you close the entrance to these so called plastic fans (condesending term if ever I heard one...) then we will never increase income, which means that those of you who do go regularly will have to fork out more - I can already hear the moaning on hw 'loyal' supporters have been priced out of 'their' club.

Just getting on with supporting the club in your own way and welcome those of us who haven't been able to do what you have done in seeing every game, but couldn't for one of many, many valid reasons.
            Excellent post.

I have been supporting the club since the early 70's and would go home and away rarely missing a game. I can remember mid week away games when only a few hundred attended and I would have to walk back from the bush to hayes as it was to late to get a bus. Since those days I have moved around a bit and now live in the east midlands. My son played professionally and with watching him and coaching and playing myself at various clubs I have been limited as to how much I can attend. However, I still go to between 10-15 games a season (mostly away).

Because I have supported the team for so long and traveled to many thousands of games am I a better supporter then others, no off course not. I do accept the principle that those who have traveled extensively the past couple of years should have tickets etc guaranteed but please don't describe me or others as plastic supporters.

The club needs all the support it can get and all should be welcomed old and new.

Just giving my thoughts on the topic - great to see many fans coming back but those who never left should be rewarded for their loyalty i.e. next years season ticket price rise kept to a minimum etc. I travelled over more than 10 times a year when we were in Division 1 (only because I could book cheap flights well in advance and TV coverage didn't come in to play). This year I didn't take the membership and booked an extra game in at the start of the season - now I probably wont get a ticket for the Leeds game but I'll still be in some pub in the 'Bush just to sample the atmosphere. Hope to see of you tomorrow when I'm over.

The only way we will ever get a new ground or substantially expand what we have is to fill the current ground. Me, I don't care who turns up as long as they get behind the team.
Of course we need to attract new fans and its nice to see old fans come back. How are we ever going to become a decent size club with only 13-14k each week.

We must embrace new and old fans, atmosphere, revenue, interest will all be increased.

Ive 37 and have been going to watch my beloved team since i was 10.
Im like many on here, when i was a single lad and only had my b ollox to keep i went week in week out, saw parts of this beautiful country i wouldnt of seen had it not been for the Rangers and also saw some right sh!t holes but enjoyed the ride never the less. Now i have 2 kids and a mortgage and cant afford to go every week. But i still hurt when we lose and buzz when we win.
If we go up there will be people out there who will try and get a ST for their kids so they can see Rooney, Gerrard and co. once a year and 'proper' fans will miss out.

But there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Confused by some of the points being made - are some say the don't want new fans because they fear theyll eventually be outpriced? Or because those fans aren't "genuine"?

The only fans who should not be welcome is those who jump ship...Foolham, Brentford, Watford even Chelski !!! We have enough genuine fans of our own.

How would we ever know? We were all newbies once.

If we ever want to be a big club either the fanbase grows or we find ourselves an owner who is willing to invest hundreds of millions.
