  • Recalling Liegertwood

In a season when I've been mightily proved wrong by Heidar Helguson, I've now had another thought: Shouldn't we be thinking of recalling Mikele Liegertwood?

He's been on cracking form for Reading and we're going to miss Derry if/when he gets suspended for two games for his 10th yellow card.

We don't have a 'battler' in midfield if/when he gets suspended, and Liegertwood might just do the job for us for 2 games...

    What does anyone think?

If Derry gets suspended and we can call him back-I would definitely do it.

Good point Alex. With Rowly gone to Millwall and Mahon who hasn't played for ages as the only covers not a bad shout...

I thought if a player is on loan till the end of the season they can't be recalled?

In however many starts he made for us this season we were undefeated. Okay, bearing in mind we've only lost 3, not so unremarkable. But in every game he has started for Reading they too remained undefeated (13 0r 14, I think?) Pretty impressive stat.

Think we could do worse than recalling him as cover for Derry.

I do not understand why many fans hate him.

No thanks. I've been enjoying watching my central midfielders pass a ball to a team mate.

                              EDIT

Sorry mate had to be said.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
