From today's Football League Paper:
"Championship leaders QPR are planning for life among the elite by drawing up a shortlist of transfer targets that include Chelsea's unsettled full back Yuri Zhirkov. Zhirkov is wanted back in Russia by former club CSKA Moscow as well as Zenit St Petersburg after growing unsettled at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea paid £18m to CSKA in June 2009 to bring Zhirkov to the capital but he has struggled to hold down a regular first team place. Zhirkov is set to become one of a number of players offloaded by Chelsea following a disappointing season. But he is set to be offered the chance of staying in London by making the short hop to Loftus Road. Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is also said to be interested in signing the 27 year-old. Neil Warnock is set to be handed a hefty war chest by the Hoops mega rich owners to mount a serious bid to keep the club in the top flight."
Exciting stuff!
