  • Late Kick Off-Charlie Oatway

For anyone that missed it catch it on BBC iplayer from tomorrow.

Great 10 minute piece on Bush boy & QPR nut Charlie, talking about his upbringing in number 81 Loftus Rd & his love of QPR plus family strife, his 11 middle names after R's players & his football career plus a fair bit more.

Filmed on Loftus Rd & inside the stadium. Well worth a look.

And those that know Charlie personally know what a decent fella he is & how much the R's mean to him. Get on it.

    From Tuesday; http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...011_Episode_5/

Once again another top Rangers related feature from that show. Really is good viewing on Monday nights and worth staying up for. IMO.

Defo Russ...The football league show with the retard on it is just a waste of my life where Rangers are concerned so this is the one that I look forward to.

Did you enjoy the feature? I thought it was top banana

I knew about Oatway being Rangers but all the other stuff in his life was fascinating also. Good to see him come through it all and make something of himself. Will probably buy his book on the strength of that feature.

As a side note, The Football League show was a lot better this weekend without Manish and with Mark (Chapman?) presenting it. If only they could get rid of Claridge, Dizzie Lizzie and Clem they may turn it around.

And I agree I will also now buy the book after seeing that. Good stuff

Must admit, I don't 'do' reading as such, but would buy that book -- very interested to find out more after that interview.

I didn't get to watch it but TV-on demand is great.

Cheers for putting that up Ric, i enjoyed watching that.
I used to play against Charlie as a kid,he played for Hive who along with Hounslow who had Andy Myers (ex chelsea) were the top 2 sides about. I marked Charlie one game, we lost 9-0 and midway through the 2nd half with the score about 8-0 he just walked off the pitch saying he was going for a shower!
To be truthful he was a horrible little ****er in those days but credit to him he was as game as anyone.
