    If you could give NW 3 pieces of advice.....

    to help gain automatic promotion, what would they be?

    1. Sign a striker on loan now. Apart from Helguson, the others don't seem to be good enough at the moment. The lack of goals might prove crucial, especially if we drop in to the play offs. It might be very hard to find anyone willing to come and clubs might be reluctant to let players leave but I would hope the club are looking into every possibility.

    2. Get Shittu, Cook and Rowlands involved. They are better than some of the players currently getting a look in (I agree 100% with Pete's thread about Vaagen Moen). They know what the club is about and MIGHT prove quite important when the pressure starts building.

    3. Don't rush Tommy Smith back. He's going to be one of the most important players in the run-in. We obviously miss him now, but don't take any risks with him. Only bring him in when he is 100% fit.

    Think you've pretty much covered it mate.

    I'd add go for it away from home a bit more. Need to score couple of goals to get the points.

      wouldn't give him any advice, he is manager for a reason, something to do with knowing what he is doing as he has done it before.

        Why give Warnock advise he is the best manager we've had since Gerry Francis's first stint.

        You seriously are having a laugh if you think getting Cook, Rowlands and Shittu involved will make a difference that would be a massive step backwards.

          Think the point made was Rowlands/Cookie wold make MORE of a difference than the likes of PVM

              I knew i'd get reactions like that. I'm not knocking him, just starting a thread that I thought might be interesting.

              As for Rowlands, Cook and Shittu- Rowlands wouldn't get in the team at the moment. But Cook and Shittu- they're better than 1 or 2 who played a part yesterday.

                  You mean the Cook and Shittu you see play 4/5 years ago.

                  Anyone passing judgement on PVM on yesterdays peformance should be prepared to give him a bit more time as well very unfair some of the comments directed at him.

                    It wasn't just yesterday- it's based on quite a few sub appearances. I'm not sure what type of player he is. Don't think he's made any worthwhile contribution yet.

                      Anyway I knock anything that centres around negativity or what will promote it and this thread will encourage muppets to spout rubbish....something you seem to specialise in more than most.
