Considering that Leicester were relegated in 2007/08 with 52 points and that Nottingham Forest finished 3rd with 79 points last season it shows you what a difference Warnock has made.
Now I'm not saying that today's result was great but a year ago we were on a five game losing streak including the 5-0 hammering at Forest and the home losses to Scunny and Ipswich. Expectations have obviously risen ten fold but sometimes things need to be put into perspective. Warnock managed to get 20 points from those remaining 14 matches (which if he did it this season would take us to 81 points) and I'm not saying that 81 points would definitely be enough for automatic promotion this season but as I've said before on this board Forest finished 3rd with 79 points last year, Sheffield United were 3rd with 80 the year before that and Hull were 3rd with 75 points back in 07/08. So 81 could be enough to win promotion. In fact WBA finished Champions with 81 points back in 07/08.
He might not make every decision right but first he kept us up, then he gave us our respectability back and now he's guiding us to where we all want to be. Every point counts and every points brings us closer to where we want to be. Keep the faith and back the boys on Tuesday night.
